Hi! I will be submitting my NSU application at the beginning of next week (just waiting on my second L.O.R.) and I can't wait! I am very anxious to hear back from them, and have my fingers tightly crossed I will get accepted for spring. Are there any other hopefuls out there??
Good Morning All,
I have some good news for those still waiting. I called my counselor, and according to her only half the number of students who are expected to enroll have accepted their seats; therefore, there are a lot of seats waiting to be filled up.. The deadline to pay your deposit fee was on the 14th, so notifications should be sent out soon :)
Good Luck to all of you!!!!
I just got off the phone with an admissions adviser. She said there are "tons" of more mailing to do and "realistically" we should be receiving our letters in the mail within the next week and a half.
I'm sure all of you who are still waiting are as anxious an frustrated as I am! I just want to know ASAP!

Well, there goes my hopes of hearing something before Thanksgiving...
Dakaylie,Did your friend receive the acceptance packet in the mail or found out via email notice?
Thanks
She received an email today saying to please contact the office because her packet was returned by USP.
She checked her VIP page before calling or anything and there it was the "Congratulations" message:D
So... she didn't get an email, it seems like they sent her the packet over the mail first.
I'm soo happy for her she deserves it :) I just really hope that we can start together still waiting.....
Hello everyone! Are you talking about the RN to BSN program? If so, please let me know any inside information other than the one provided by NSU website. For example:
1. Is there a entrance exam for the RN to BSN program?
2. What are the 13 additional credits (course requirements) including advance physiology and nutrition (3000 level)? I do not see any other Rn to BSN program out there asking for these courses. Once you have your ASN, RN license and your AA, that is all you need.
3. Ethics is a class that most programs out there require.
4. How long is the program? I do not see this information on their website?
5. What is the real and total cost of the entire RN to BSN program? Including books and those additional high fees????
6. When comparing NSU with FIU RN to BSN program, has anyone realize that maybe the 3 excelsior exams required by FIU in order to give you 24 credits, may be cheaper than any other program if you were to take additional program required courses??????
7. Has anyone compared the FIU program with the NSU RN to BSN in terms of completion time; cost; requirements; and overall information????? If you have, please help us all with the information.
I appreciate very much all the input. This is not about groups and subgroups, this is about our expending lots of money (student loans), this is about cost effective program, this is about saving time and money in the process. I rather complete a program in a year (full time) completely online 100% and save half the cost, than to take 2 years to complete a RN to BSN program and expent double the money.
Does anyone know the ranking, graduation rate, retention rate and success rate among FIU and NSU?????
I THANK YOU ALL FOR ALL THE INPUT YOU CAN PROVIDE ME IN MAKING A SOUND DECISION.

You're welcome Melissa!
I know exactly how it feels to be in your shoes. I applied to FGCU for fall semester and got in but declined because of the amount of money I would've had to come out of pocket even with my financial aid. Applied to mdc that same semester and got rejected. Was pretty bummed because that's where I really wanted to go and felt like if I could get into a university than I could get into mdc. Wrong!!!
Spring term I applied to nova and mdc (f/t and p/t). And what do you know, I got into every last one of the programs!!! So hey if you get rejected (which I really hope you don't), don't get discouraged. Just reapply again (and to other programs) and you might get lucky!!! Just gotta stay motivated and never give up on your dreams no matter what the circumstances may be.
I wish you and everyone else the best of luck!!!!!
