Nova Southeastern University Spring '12

Hi! I will be submitting my NSU application at the beginning of next week (just waiting on my second L.O.R.) and I can't wait! I am very anxious to hear back from them, and have my fingers tightly crossed I will get accepted for spring. Are there any other hopefuls out there??

I mean I hadn't registered to take classes this winter because I was sure I would be getting in. Now that she tells me this about prerequisites...I'm not so sure anymore and now the classes I would like to take are filled. I hope I get accepted or I have to wait until next term. I finish my prereqs in three weeks just Nutrition and Stats A in both...Oh Man.

I'm actually reapplying because I didn't get in for Fall 2011. They told me two different reasons.. said GPA's were competitive and they accepted people with like 3.8 GPA's.. but I heard that people got in with 3.4's. And I have a 3.557 GPA... I was also taking my last 2 prereqs (Microbio and A&P2) and they also said it was because my prereqs were not completed when I applied.

But I'm praying I get in this time and I hope you do too!

I'm actually reapplying because I didn't get in for Fall 2011. They told me two different reasons.. said GPA's were competitive and they accepted people with like 3.8 GPA's.. but I heard that people got in with 3.4's. And I have a 3.557 GPA... I was also taking my last 2 prereqs (Microbio and A&P2) and they also said it was because my prereqs were not completed when I applied.

Although, AO said they were sending out acceptance notices in waves and that it could take up to 2 more weeks to find out.

I didn't receive any letter. I had to call because so many people had already found out they were accepted and there was no news for me. I think that was the end of the 2 week period. I just don't understand why I never received a rejection email.

And for Winter 2012, I'm freaking out. I just want to know ASAP. hoping for the best though. gotta keep positive.

Actually, now that I think about it, they did send me a letter telling me I did not get in a couple of days after I called them.

One of my friends received a letter saying that she didn't get accepted. She had a 3.7. And never bother to find out why she didnt get in because at that moment she got accepted to FIU.

I just hope that all of us still have a chance of getting in since some people are giving up their spots. =S

i'm trying to stay optimistic, but i'm running out of time so i'm starting to plan around the other program i got into. i guess i'm just confused. i have a 4.0 in my prerequisites so you'd think i'd be a shoe-in but now i'm thinking there's a possibility one of my classes didn't transfer over.

i did some digging into older threads on allnurses about applying to nova for previous semesters and i noticed that in some cases, people were getting accepted up to 6 weeks after others announced that they'd gotten their emails. so who knows?

Was she rejected for spring 2012? That's pretty scary- she has a really solid GPA. Overall GPA for me is 3.62. I remember Prisci writing that nova re-calculates GPA to only include their pre reqs- in that case I have a 3.88. After hearing your friend's story, I'm pretty nervous. I got accepted into another school but nova is my first choice.

Hello fellow nova applicants! I have recently been accepted into Kendall- nova campus!

My VIP page has changed , saying the congratulatory message but, I am still waiting for the nursing packet that is supposed to arrive through the mail! I have been rejected numerous times by different schools(including nova-fall) and finally after 18 mos. Nova has accepted me......

I had a 3.35 gpa 85credits

3.15(science gpa)

----this might help-----

+Nova tends to accept students that have their whole admission packet completed over students that don't.

+winter is far easier to get into than fall::..

+higher science gpa and take consideration of ppl reapplying

+If you don't get accepted into a nursing program try an lpn program in technical schools

(my plan b was Robert Morgan, inwhich I'm currently in Jan-Dec. But will be denyin my seat there)

+lpn-RN-BsN route is longer but is a more secure route...

ive been viewing threads since last year and I know the stress everyone is goig through.....good Luck to everyone!!!

:no: Ohhhhhh NOOOOOOOO PEOPLLEEEE!!! :no: She got rejected for the this FALL!!! My point is that the ones that don't accepted do receive a letter.

I haven't heard anything for this Winter, hopefully there is still hopeee for us !!!! :idea::idea::idea::idea:
