Hello everyone !!
I was looking for a post for the Entry-Level BSN program for Winter 2016 at Nova and I couldn't find one, so I decided to make one where we could all get in contact to discuss and share our experience, tips, thoughts and questions on this journey !
So, I guess I'll begin with mine!! I originally began my application to Nova April 30th (kind of late considering their deadline for registration was June 1st) for the Fall Semester. After I submitted both my nursingCAS and the NSU application, it took about 2 weeks to receive a response. I got my email for the interview May 19th. I immediately registered for an interview (June 4th, tomorrow!!!) and began to prepare.
I called Nova, to see if I could get some feedback as to what I could use to study from, or if there was any specific book I could purchase. The girl who I spoke to kindly informed me that there was no specific study guide and that the test would be based on previous knowledge from my prerequisites. With that being said, I immediately started googling and finding out as much information as possible about the Exam and the interview process (where I came to find this website that has genuinely helped me so much with gathering info). I then purchased the "Nursing School Entrance Exams" Kaplan book through Amazon, which cost me around $20, and began to study from that. I can' t tell you guys yet if that worked for me or not since we don't know the exact material of the exam and I hadn't taken the exam yet, but I'll make sure to come back and let you guys know how it went!
I received a call last week on Friday, that there were no more available seats for the Fall Term 2015. The girl I spoke to advised me to still present myself to the interview and take the exam. She also told me that the application could be moved to the Winter Term and that way I don't have to apply all over again and go through the same process. So, that's what I plan on doing.
I am so nervous for the exam more than anything, since I don't know what to expect, but I am trying to stay positive.
Good luck to all the new applicants for Winter Term and those that are on the same boat as me. Hopefully we are all together soon in the BSN program at NSU!!!!!!!
Amanda & USFGrad, congrats on getting the invitation to interview!
Isis.lag004 don't feel like that. You got over 60 which is good. I am sure they understand that some people just aren't good test takers (like myself)! So, stay positive, I'm sure you did great! And I HOPE, HOPE to hear the greats news soon!

Thank you Yudi for the encouragement.
Hi everyone! My name is Perrine. I recently scheduled my interview for next Tuesday which is October 27th for the main campus. I am super nervous about the interview and also the Kaplan exam. I have the Kaplan Nursing Entrance Exam book, but some of the things look so difficult in the math and also the science sections
What can I expect? Should I be nervous?
hello everyone.... my name is DEDE. I have an interview on Tuesday the 27 of this month and I am sooooo excited yet nervous... I've read almost every post, which was really helpful but I am kind of curious on the English/reading section of the test. I have the Kaplan entrance book and I'm not going to lie, that section makes me nervous... can anyone gave me some info on that, was the English/reading section hard and how did u study for it (other than the Kaplan book or ACT book)?...... is the Kaplan book entrance exams harder than the actual exams? because the book itself is making me feel a little overwhelm.
Hi there! My name is Nadia. I am also taking the test/interview on the 27th so i hope to see you! Ive been studying from the TEAS book which has been said to be a harder test. I feel like Nova would mainly focus on math and science scores just because those are the two most important subjects. For the reading portion, i just went back a few years and taught myself all of the basics over again just because i forgot the simple things. You'll be fine!
Hey Perrine, I'm Nadia (: I am taking the exam/interview on the same day and i agree. There are things that scare me, like the science section. I've been going back to my A&P book to refresh my memory but i don't feel 100% comfortable in that area.. lets see what happens. I am also scared to be interviewed!!! But were all in this together so don't worry its good to be a little nervous.

Hi everyone!!
Today I received an email for the interview/test date! Super excited :))) I'm gonna be interviewing Nov. 3, I didn't know there was an entrance exam so I want to prepare for that! I took the TEAS in Sept. for FAU and I heard this Kaplan exam is easier than the TEAS.... I'm not sure... I thought the TEAS was a breeze.. We'll see! Hopefully I will be joining all the people that got accepted for the main campus
