Nova Southeastern University Entry-Level BSN Winter (January 2016) !

Published

Hello everyone !!

I was looking for a post for the Entry-Level BSN program for Winter 2016 at Nova and I couldn't find one, so I decided to make one where we could all get in contact to discuss and share our experience, tips, thoughts and questions on this journey !

So, I guess I'll begin with mine!! I originally began my application to Nova April 30th (kind of late considering their deadline for registration was June 1st) for the Fall Semester. After I submitted both my nursingCAS and the NSU application, it took about 2 weeks to receive a response. I got my email for the interview May 19th. I immediately registered for an interview (June 4th, tomorrow!!!) and began to prepare.

I called Nova, to see if I could get some feedback as to what I could use to study from, or if there was any specific book I could purchase. The girl who I spoke to kindly informed me that there was no specific study guide and that the test would be based on previous knowledge from my prerequisites. With that being said, I immediately started googling and finding out as much information as possible about the Exam and the interview process (where I came to find this website that has genuinely helped me so much with gathering info). I then purchased the "Nursing School Entrance Exams" Kaplan book through Amazon, which cost me around $20, and began to study from that. I can' t tell you guys yet if that worked for me or not since we don't know the exact material of the exam and I hadn't taken the exam yet, but I'll make sure to come back and let you guys know how it went!

I received a call last week on Friday, that there were no more available seats for the Fall Term 2015. The girl I spoke to advised me to still present myself to the interview and take the exam. She also told me that the application could be moved to the Winter Term and that way I don't have to apply all over again and go through the same process. So, that's what I plan on doing.

I am so nervous for the exam more than anything, since I don't know what to expect, but I am trying to stay positive.

Good luck to all the new applicants for Winter Term and those that are on the same boat as me. Hopefully we are all together soon in the BSN program at NSU!!!!!!!

Congrats to everyone who has been accepted for this upcoming semester. I have an interview tomorrow and I am beyond nervous. My friend got accepted to NOVA (Fort Myers campus) this semester and keeps reassuring me everything will be okay. Looking at everyone's post gives me a little hope but I am still super nervous. My GPA is not the best so I really need to do well tomorrow. Wish me luck, prayers up , and fingers crossed.

Congrats everyone on their acceptance!!

For kendall campus has anyone turned in their application to baptist yet??

Hi Allycatt27 ! Yes, I think for the most part everyone that got accepted for Kendall campus has turned in their application. I believe the deadline is Oct 30th!

Thank you!!

Yes I just called. Have you been called for an interview yet??

No not yet, I don't think anyone has or will be till the application process is closed. But I'll keep you posted when I get a call! *fingers crossed

I have been selected for an interview! My date is for Nov 3rd. Anyone else going that day? I am super nervous!

Hi everyone i had my interview last Tuesday i didn't do well on the Kaplan i got a 63. The interview was straight forward and quick i was nervous but i managed to answer all the questions mind you both of the professor that interview us teach the psychiatric nurse course lol so they just ask and wrote while i was answering there was no interaction whatsoever. In my group there was six of us everyone did well on the test so I kinda felt discourage and with no chance of getting in. I still have hope that wont be the case but let see what happens.
