Nova Southeastern University Entry-level BSN Fall (August) 2015! (:

Published

Hi everyone!

I haven't seen a post about NSU's Entry-level BSN program for Fall 2015 so I decided to start one. If there is another thread that everyone else is on, please let me know! I double-checked to make sure there weren't any posts hiding but I could be wrong.

Anyway, I am waiting for my final transcripts to be sent to Nova. Other than that, now it's just the waiting game and I'm super anxious. They wont be calling people until Feb or March probably. I finished my AA with Broward College this December. I underestimated application deadlines and the application process to get everything together so unfortunately I will have a semester off from school.

I also applied to FAU's Traditional BSN program. I have a thread about that as well if you also applied to that school. You can jump over to that thread by clicking here

If all else fails I was thinking of just going back to Broward College, possibly their North campus.

If anyone has any stories or advice/knowledge about any of these programs, please share! If you're an applicant to NSU as well, good luck! Hope we get the responses that we want.

I received my denial letter as well in the mail, it's ok probably God wants other things for us. God bless the ones that got the scholarship and those that didnt this is not the end of out of our dreams. we are still going to be nurses and them when we graduate we can choose for who we want to work or move somewhere else where nurses get paid more. Good luck in our nursing school and I am really excited to start already.

yes, it's true. I can't wait to start and begin this amazing journey! Make sure to do all your paperwork for the loans and stuff so that when school begins you are not waiting on the loans to kick in. Thank god I had started all that already, I'm going to finish the immunizations this Friday :)... If you need any help you can always ask.

I already have my loans and financial aid ready too, just need to finish my inmunizations and buy the uniforms, sneakers and the books. next year I need to apply in January for financial aid because we get more money if we apply early because there are more funds for the ones that apply very early, I was told this info by a financial aid representative at Nova so we don't lose anything applying earlier. Also, if you have any question feel free to contact me.

oh good! We apply earlier even though we haven't done our taxes? how does that work? In that case I will do the same to have room for a little extra money. I'm going to wait to get the shoes since I have read they have to be all white and no logos. I want to make sure I don't waste my money and then I cannot use them. I will buy a pair of scrubs and lab coat to try the sizes, and then I will buy the rest.

I will ask about the taxes but when we are filling out fafsa there is a question that ask if we already file our taxes or if we are going to file and then we put the amount that we made for that year but before doing that I am going to ask. I need to go and try sizes of scrubs since I am skinny Idk which size is going to fit me and books and sneakers I am going to wait too. I prefer to buy the right thing and no spend money in things that are not acceptable.

Hi guys. I'm thinking about applying to Nova for Spring 2016. Can anybody help me figure out what are the hours for the interview ? I need to know more or less when is over bc after that I need to go work. I 've used all my personal and sick days so I have to arrange my schedule to work in the afternoon. Can anybody tell me when is everything over including finishing the entrance exam ? Thank you so much in advance.

Lilian. I work at a Medical Office for almost 8 yrs. I've had all kind of scrubs. I recommend for you XXS Cherokee and if you are petite they have XXS in petite. I wear regular XXS size. I'm 5'7.....115lbs. I'm skinny too. I buy all my work scrubs at ALL UNIFORM WEAR ON 84 Ave and 8 St SW.

for the interview you have to be there before 9 am, the first thing is the test and it's from 9 -12 but if you finish early you can leave and eat and you need to come back at 1pm. At 1 pm you have to write an essay but itsmost likely like a paragraph because they tell you to write a short essay. (very very easy). after that it's the interview process and depending at what time you sign up for, you will have the interview. I left the campus around 3pm and there were still people having their interview.

Thank you so mucho Daniel. I'm taking statistics at MDC this semester and I want it to show it on my transcripts but I will try to pass by next week in person to get more information. I'm old school. I have to show in person. Lol.

Hey Lilian! I also have my experience with scrubs and scrub brands lol the best ones for me are the greys anatomy ones and they also come in petite and xxs! They are soft, long lasting, comfortable and they actually look good compared to other brands! The only thing is that they are a little more expensive than the others but honestly its worth it. They even come in our teal uniform color !

Those are nice but they are a bit pricey. I've use Cherokee workwear and they last forever. Obviously i prefer greys but anyways. They good thing is that at Nova I think you can use any brand, not like MDC that they make you buy them at the school.
