Nova Southeastern University Entry-level BSN Fall (August) 2015! (:

Published

Hi everyone!

I haven't seen a post about NSU's Entry-level BSN program for Fall 2015 so I decided to start one. If there is another thread that everyone else is on, please let me know! I double-checked to make sure there weren't any posts hiding but I could be wrong.

Anyway, I am waiting for my final transcripts to be sent to Nova. Other than that, now it's just the waiting game and I'm super anxious. They wont be calling people until Feb or March probably. I finished my AA with Broward College this December. I underestimated application deadlines and the application process to get everything together so unfortunately I will have a semester off from school.

I also applied to FAU's Traditional BSN program. I have a thread about that as well if you also applied to that school. You can jump over to that thread by clicking here

If all else fails I was thinking of just going back to Broward College, possibly their North campus.

If anyone has any stories or advice/knowledge about any of these programs, please share! If you're an applicant to NSU as well, good luck! Hope we get the responses that we want.

Hi everyone! I was just wondering if those of you accepted to main campus have gotten your acceptance packet yet? If you did how long after you were accepted did it take for you to get it?

Hello Ali8!

I got accepted into the program on the main campus and I just called them and they say that the package takes one or two weeks depending on your acceptance date.

I never received mine, called them 3 weeks later and they emailed me my acceptance letter and the Florida resident paper

hi @jane19 how long it took between the interview and the acceptance respond?

Hi everyone!! does anyone know when is the deadline to apply for the Baptist scholarship? I had my interview with NOva a week ago and I am waiting for an answer. I am afraid I will not be able to apply on time. Any tips?

I have heard June 1st going around a lot but not sure

So the Baptist interview... quite nerve-racking! Lol

I had 4 interviewers, all very nice, but they do get right to the point. No time for small talk are trying to get you to feel more comfortable. As soon as you walk in, they quickly introduce themselves and begin taking turns to ask questions. Unlike the Nova interviews, you are in there alone, so once they ask a question there's really not much time to think your answers through. They asked things like, "what qualities do you posses that you think a nurse should have", "why are you a good candidate for this program", "what would you do if someone you knew was doing something they shouldn't be doing", "If you were working as a restaurant server, how would you handle an irate customer". They must have asked about 10 questions but I was so nervous that I haven't been able to remember what the rest of them were. They did mention that they would get back to us once they've finished interviews, around the 2nd week of June. Hope this helps a bit!

I would suggest working on the Baptist application requirements while you wait for Nova's response. The requirements can be found online. You need to write an essay, obtain recommendation letters, and have your official transcripts ready.

Thank you for the information. I will do that.

Thank you so much for sharing Belky!!!:) I am prepping and practicing some of my responses to typical nursing interview questions and this really helps!! I can share how my experience was as well after next week! I am sure you killed it and hopefully we will be in the Baptist Cohort together!! :D

Congrats to all that got accepted!! And the ones waiting for response don't worry, it will be ok!! I hope we can keep in touch with our stories :)
