Nova Southeastern University BSN Fall 2018

Published

Hello, I saw that there wasn't a thread created for the fall term 2018 in nova. I wanted to know if anybody is already studying for the test, and if so, what book are you using to study?

Hey guys, I interviewed on the 6th at Davie. My name is vanessa I was the blonde girl lol.

yes girl! I knew you would get in Im Sarita, i have curly black hair from UF!

Yess girl!!!!!! Lmk how uf goes!!!

Hi guys! Just finished my interview and wow it really wasn't that bad. I wanted to post the questions they asked me ASAP to help anyone who still hasn't gone. A lot were scenario based questions like what I would do if I saw someone cheating, what I would do if someone had the answers to a test before the exam like a cheat sheet, what would I do if I had a kid and the daycare called me to pick them up and I had a test in an hour, then regular questions like tell me about yourself and what I thought is the role of a nurse. Kaplan was a lot harder than the TEAS in my opinion but I got 75% so still passed. Hopefully I'll hear from them soon!

Yes!!! I remember you, I was the one with the dark hair with glasses. I was wearing a navy blue blouse. I was sitting with you after I got done getting interviewed

Hey guys, I had my interview on the 6th at the Miami campus and I found out I got in on Monday. When I called to find out I didn't believe him at first lol. I am beyond excited!!

Hi!

I actually just got accepted last week for fall 2018!

For the Kaplan test, make sure you know your physiology. There are basic questions such as "what is the blood flow pathway through the heart," however, there are also more logic based questions that require you to basically know your stuff! it's about half basic questions, half logic questions.

I used my old anatomy & physiology notes from my lecture, and I did A LOT of practice questions from the TEAs practice book, my anatomy and physiology text book, along with the Kaplan. I also googled anatomy and physiology practice questions and just tried answering them all.

My biggest advice would be to put your self in the mindset of being able to answer questions about the same topic in various ways.

For math, I used "Math for Nurses." I did chapters 1-4.

Math For Nurses: A Pocket Guide to Dosage Calculation and Drug Preparation: 97814963

Congrats to everyone who got accepted. I have been calling my advisor and she said they will send me an email to set up an interview, but i still haven't received anything yet. I am kind of worried, and I don't know if I should call a different number or just wait till next week to see if they would send it

Hey guys! I have my interview tomorrow at the Miami Campus and I'm super nervous! I'm taking anatomy this semester and I'm super worried that will affect my score for the Kaplan. Has anyone interviewed at the Miami campus?

So I'm not sure if all decisions were made for those who interviewed on the 13th but some definitely have!! I just called and found out I was accepted at the Davie campus!! I should be getting my acceptance packet by the end of next week.

Who did you call?
