Hey everyone! I'm not sure if you all talked about this subject before, but I was wondering if anyone knows about the process for getting your scrubs? I believe they said that we will be sized for our scrubs on orientation on August 18th, but doesn't class start on the 22nd? And also, does anyone know when we will actually start clinical rotations? Thank you! :)

Qwright12 I finally received my package. I will be taking a seat for winter 2017 at the Fort Lauderdale campus. I was a little disappointed about not starting in fall but I guess that's my fault for not getting my stuff in sooner. Good luck to you next month :)

Hello everyone, I was wondering what applying for the Baptist scholarship is like. How was the process like? How was the interview? How long did it take to hear back? Also, for the contract of the 2 or 3 years, are those paid? Thank you!

Hi jessmarieb, applying for the baptist scholarship was easy. You need to turn in a packet which has the scholarship application, your sealed transcripts, an acceptance letter into the NSU Miami campus, 2 recommendation letters, and I think that's it. I was one of the people who turned in their packets early so I was part of the first round of interviews. I didn't get called back until all the interviews were done and they made a decision about everyone. The contract is now 4 years and yes they're paid. If you get the scholarship now it doesn't pay 100% tuition but it pays for a good chunk of it and once you start working for baptist you need to pay taxes on the scholarship which come out of your check. Hope this helps!

Hello! Thank you for all your help. How was the interview like? And, if you don't mind me asking, what was your GPA? And, how much are the taxes on the scholarship?

I don't know how much the taxes are I'm only in my first semester but the interview was easy not as bad as you make it out to be. It's a panel interview some people had 4 people interviewing them, I had 6. They ask you a series of scenario questions and that's about it. They were all super nice. My gpa wasn't as high as some of the other people about 3.15

Thank you ndelc7 for all your help! I really want to go to Nova but I'm afraid I wont be able to afford it so the Baptist scholarship would be a great opportunity for me

Yeah I was worried that I would have to take out loans if I didn't get the scholarship.

Hi, what was your science gpa looking like?

Hello. Did anyone get accepted into the Davie campus? I got accepted recently and Im very excited to be starting in the fall. Cant wait to meet you all and goodluck to those who will be applying for Winter term. Does anyone know what the dress code will be like? Scrubs everyday or professional attire on some of the days?
