Hi everyone!
So I guess im the first to start the thread for Nova's Fall 2014 admissions. I put in my application about 2 weeks ago, and actually did my prereqs here as well. I am still in the process of completing Micro and A&P 2. I am VERY nervous about the admission process because my GPA is not as high as what im seeing on this site.
Thoughts?
Books cost around $250 for the first semester since I rented most of them. However, I advise that you buy the math book because you might need it for other semesters. For physiology , some people might tell you that the book is not necessary but i find the book very helpful in clearing somethings up, so its your preference. And for Physiology and A&P , the professors will kinda tell you what's going to be on the exam. Both the A&P and physiology professors are GREAT ! They're awesome, always willing to help !
Hello everyone! I received an email today that I was chosen for an interview and exam. My only option was Monday June 9th, so I don't have much time to review. I'm a bit nervous about the exam. Even though it's material I've covered, exams give me anxiety and I blank out. Any advice would be appreciated.

I'm sure you will do great. The exam is not bad at all. For me the hardest part was the science. Just take a deep breath and do your best. For math you get to use a calculator. The test does not count against you. Make sure you get a good night sleep and just do your best. If you feel yourself panicking take a mini break breath and tell yourself you have this :-) let me know how it goes. Congratulations and good luck.

Thanks for the words of encouragement and advice! I really appreciate it. I'm happy to hear we can use a calculator. Do we bring our own? Anything I should bring with me that day? I read some posts about an essay as well. Sounds like a fun day! :)

No problem :-) they will provide the calculator. Yep you will have to write an essay. Not hard at all. I didn't bring anything and the day is fun and it will go by fast. My interview was first then the essay. After that we went for a tour, took a break, and lastly did the test. I'm not sure if your day will go in that exact order. Everyone was super nice. Once you start talking to some of the people around the nerves will wear off.

The test has a calculator. The exam was not difficult. The anatomy portion to me was the most difficult portion. At the Kendall campus you take the exam as soon as you get there and then you get a lunch break. After that you go to do the interview in small groups. They ask you two scenarios and then you have five minutes to write a paragraph answering a question. Then they give a tour of the building.
