Today I am sending my application to Nova Southeastern for the Fall 2009. Excited and hopeful. Give me a shout out if you are sending your application as well.:yeah:

I guess each interview is different. My essay was not on that.. I wish it was.. it was on a movie. Good luck to you? You interviewed at Fort Myers?

I met a student is doing her last semester's practicum at my job, at night, and she said that Nova is a great school, where they try to help you the best they can, the dean's door is always open, and if you are doing bad they tell you "here are books that you need to read to do well". she said they "spoon feed them" -- meaning all the information you need they give it to you all. and she said they are extremely supportive. THe only down side she said is the loans to pay at the end of the program.

I knew that was a good school!!!

but again, everyone has different oppinions and different views on the same things..

I'm not going to get into a pi$$ing contest about who knows more about the school. But spoon fed we are NOT. We are not given reviews, we are told that there are no intervention questions on the exam and then are asked intervention questions. I have 52 other people that just bombed an exam that was not at all what was discussed in class. The class before us had to take a Patho exam AFTER the term ended on line b/c the grades were so bad b/c they were not told what was going to be on the test. That was the only way they could get the classes grades up so half of the class did not fail. We have three people in our class that were part of that....

Those were all the great things I heard before I went there. They changed everything - the dean has come to us and told us they have changed everything!!!

I'm not saying it is not a good school, but for someone who didn't get past the first semester I would caution you on singing the praises of a program you are not involved in.

:( I just say what I hear from others :(

Hey Guys,

I applied for the RN program at BCC starting in August, and I'm pretty sure I'll get in b/c I have a good GPA, but now I'm just wondering if I will be able to survive there. I have a few friends that started the program last January (all of them got to the program with GPAs from 3.6 to 4.0), and they are barely surviving. One of them failed the math test and got held back. I understand and have been preparing myself for the program to be challenging. But I don't want to get into something that people just want you to fail, and most cannot complete/graduate.

I've been starting to look around for other schools, my major issue with other schools is the lengh of the program. I guess if I go let's say to Nova I'll have to wait another year to get into the program right? Because the pre-reqs there are different from BCC. What about other schools?

I would appreciate any imput from you guys, I feel a little lost right now.

Have a nice day!

I applied to the Fort Myers campus of Nova, and from meeting a few students there they love the program. It only has 15 students so that could be the answer, but I don't care. I want a more challenging experience for nursing. I am currently as FGCU and don't like it. If anyone is thinking about or have applied to the Fort Myers campus let me know!

I have also applied to the Fort Myers campus and so has one of my friends! We are both also at FGCU and we do not like it..

Playing the waiting game is the worst ever! So, I applied to the Nova Southeastern University, South Fort Myers campus (here in Florida)! Went on my interview, and got a "Congratulations! Welcome to the Program" after the interview is over. Even though they said that, Iam still freaking out because I was supposed to get the letter in the mail and haven't yet! :(

Then today the secretary called me this afternoon "to schedule" my interview....that I already had. I guess my file was missed place and back in the pile for interviews! So, totally freaked out because who knows what that means! She said she was going to call me back on the confusion, but I have no proof that I got in! Im soooo scared, it was the only school I applied to!

Anyone have any advice?

Well.. I'm playing the waiting game now. I had my interview last month and haven't heard a thing. I heard letters don't go out until June. I applied for Davie campus though. I only applied to this school as well. I just want to know already. Do you know of anyone who got an acceptance letter for Fall 2009 class?

I applied to nova's fort myers campus also and got the same congratulations during my interview. I talked to the admissions lady Renee last week and she said we should be expecting the admissions packet in the mail soon. I'm nervous to because I have no proof that I got in and we haven't registered for classes yet. When I told her this she said not to worry and that in the computer I am already in there as a student and they are just waiting for the fort lauderdale campus to send out the letters.

It just really sucks you know! I talked to Renee also and she did confirm that I was accepted, but where does it say that you are a student? She said that she still had to send all the stuff to Ft Lauderdale and it would be a couple of weeks for me to recieve anything. But, I only see that I have to get my finanicial aid stuff in order, not that I am a student!

But Congratulations on getting accepted! I'll see you there in August :)
