congrats :clpty: how did you find out? & whats your GPA? For paying for Nova you can look into Baptist Scholarship Program or try searching for scholarships online without commitment those are mostly partial but every little bit helps ! But if all that fails you can look into student loans

Thanks! I just found out through my email. My gpa is a 3.7 and I have my A.A already which probably helped me find out sooner. I am definitely going to apply for the Baptist Scholarship, but who knows if I will get it. I am just trying to figure out if Nova is worth all the money. I have 2 weeks to decide before i have to pay Nova $500, which sucks! I not sure if I should just go to Broward instead :-/.

have u gotten accepted any where else? Ive heard pretty good things about BC's program. Don't get me wrong Novas program is really good but its so expensive! I would much rather go to MDC for nursing but its close to impossible to get in. But u have a really good GPA and you have ur AA so u have more options. I messed up in the beginning so its kind of back-firing on me and i think i have the best shot of getting into nova. Have u applied to BC?

i applied to bc's program as well. i have not heard anything yet, but i just turned in my application last wed. i was definitely more worried about getting into nova. i have 19 points out of 22 points possible for browards program so i'm pretty sure i will get accepted. i just feel like even though nova is expensive, i will have a way better learning experience. i mean i went to broward for my a.a. and it was ok for that, but i feel like people aren't very helpful, obviously the campus isn't the greatest, and i felt like we got the short end on learning equipment. i guess you could say you get what you pay for. i know people that go to broward and they say great things, but i feel like i would enjoy nova a lot more. also, i know at nova you work on actually cadavers which to me is great because you learn so much from an actually body than a pig, etc. what is your gpa?

yeah thats what everyone has told me you get what you pay for. i went to mdc for most of my classes but i went to keiser for my anatomies because i wanted to take that teacher and its a huge difference. people in miami dade are so rude and so unhelpful and then the staff in keiser is so much nicer. in mdc i started anatomy 1 there and dropped it so i had a taste of it the lab was pretty much another lecture, the anatomy class in keiser had pigs, cow, sheep . its a huge price difference but i think if you go to any private school the learning equipment and the experience is so much better, but it comes with a huge price tag difference. my gpa is a 3.4 right now but im taking 5 classes between spring and summer so i calculated i should have a 3.6 by the time finish my classes

I just realized you wrote in another post your gpa, sorry lol!I definitely agree with what your saying though. The huge price tag definitely scares me, but I feel like it will be worth it in the end. I have been weighing options all day and I feel like Nova will provide me with such a better education. I mean who knows I could be wrong and Broward could be just as great, but there is no right way of figuring out what school is right for every person. I think if you bring your gpa up that will definitely help! The only thing that might hold you back is that your still taking classes. I should have started Nursing school this term, but the fact that they were not going to have my final transcript till right before Xmas and the program started in Jan. made me wait to apply. I honestly have a feeling you might have to wait till winter term to start , but for you sake I hope Im wrong. I think it really depends on how much people accept/decline their seats to the program.

Yeah thats what im worried about :( Im trying to be hopeful but i still keep in mind that theres a big chance that I'll have to go for winter term. I have a friend that got accepted last fall and she had more or less the same gpa as me and was taking summer classes but i feel like every semester more and more people apply to nursing schools so i just have to wait and see, worst case scenario i start a few months later as long as i can get into a school period i'll be ok :) & yeah its hard trying to figure out what school is right for you. Theres pros/cons for everything the good thing about BC is that you'll finish in a year and its a lot cheaper the bad thing is that you'll only have your ASN and since its public it might not be the same experience. Do your research I'm sure theres scholarships out there that might help you with paying for Nova and you always have baptist scholars to hold on to

which email ? your peronal email or nsu email and how do u access the nsu email .. its not letting me get in
