Nope Im applying for kendall campus. and i want to but i;ve also heard that nurses that were on baptist scholars get paid less not sure if thats true or not but either way i think i would want to do it anyway.

yeah it does seem really do-able ! Well im trying to figure out if i can resubmit my application online. and then ill send my transcripts now and resend them when i finish my summer grades are in. but im still super nervous!

ME! :) i got rejected for the fall term so i'm not giving up so im applying for the next semester ! Are you done with all your classes? Whats your GPA?

nope im taking 3 summer classes thats why i've lost hope too! i think it also has to do with when you submitted when did u say you submitted your application? i submitted like 2 weeks before the deadline AND im pending classes. but worst case scenario im we'll make it for the winter term because the first people that they pick are the ones that were deferred.

which campus are you applying for?

what is your GPA? when u applied were all your classes done already or they were in progress?

i don't think so . for the most part everyone that i've seen as long as u pass the TEAS with their minimum requirements you'll get it from what i've seen. BUT their waiting lists are getting ridiculous

Karina, how do you like the program? any tips on how to be successful? How are the teachers? Any negatives on the program overall?

Yeah thats what im worried about Im trying to be hopeful but i still keep in mind that theres a big chance that I'll have to go for winter term. I have a friend that got accepted last fall and she had more or less the same gpa as me and was taking summer classes but i feel like every semester more and more people apply to nursing schools so i just have to wait and see, worst case scenario i start a few months later as long as i can get into a school period i'll be ok :) & yeah its hard trying to figure out what school is right for you. Theres pros/cons for everything the good thing about BC is that you'll finish in a year and its a lot cheaper the bad thing is that you'll only have your ASN and since its public it might not be the same experience. Do your research I'm sure theres scholarships out there that might help you with paying for Nova and you always have baptist scholars to hold on to

yeah thats what everyone has told me you get what you pay for. i went to mdc for most of my classes but i went to keiser for my anatomies because i wanted to take that teacher and its a huge difference. people in miami dade are so rude and so unhelpful and then the staff in keiser is so much nicer. in mdc i started anatomy 1 there and dropped it so i had a taste of it the lab was pretty much another lecture, the anatomy class in keiser had pigs, cow,sheep . its a huge price difference but i think if you go to any private school the learning equipment and the experience is so much better, but it comes with a huge price tag difference. my gpa is a 3.4 right now but im taking 5 classes between spring and summer so i calculated i should have a 3.6 by the time finish my classes

have u gotten accepted any where else? Ive heard pretty good things about BC's program. Don't get me wrong Novas program is really good but its so expensive! I would much rather go to MDC for nursing but its close to impossible to get in. But u have a really good GPA and you have ur AA so u have more options. I messed up in the beginning so its kind of back-firing on me and i think i have the best shot of getting into nova. Have u applied to BC?

congrats :clpty: how did you find out? & whats your GPA? For paying for Nova you can look into Baptist Scholarship Program or try searching for scholarships online without commitment those are mostly partial but every little bit helps ! But if all that fails you can look into student loans

Yeah thats why I'm so nervous! But at least your on a better boat than I am your going to be done this semester im missing this and summer. I'm trying to stay positive because I really hope to get in for this semester but if I don't i know Ill be able to get in for the winter term but i don't want to wait a whole semester for nothing One of my friends applied for Fall 2010 and she had classes pending too and she had a 3.3 so I'm holding on to hope lol . She also told me that she knows someone that got in with a 3.0 but because someone else declined their spot. Yeah I want to send my GPA as soon as the grades go in for MDC. What school do you go to now? What campus are you applying to?

whats ur GPA ? do you know when they are going to start letting us know? This wait is killing me
