Hello everyone!
I applied to Nova's Entry Level BSN program today for Fall 2012 semester and thought it may be helpful to start up a forum.
If you are:
currently applying or plan on applying, a former applicant, a current student, I'd love to hear from you!
Has everyone finished their perquisites? Does anyone else have a not so competitive GPA (like me)? Does anyone know who is considered a competitive applicant? Where is everyone else applying?
I look forward to speaking with everyone and hopefully entering the Fall '12 class together!

You are right Siamiam856! I am going to email A***** today! And follow up with a call tomorrow morning. Yes, Kendall it is. The NOVA at Ft. Lauderdale is far but i would do the drive if i have to. But i think when you apply online, the campus you enter in your application is the campus will go to if chosen. I live literally 10 minutes away from the Kendall campus. It would be perfect for me.
By the way how did your interview go? Did you feel confident when you left? Im not going to lie, i felt a little intimidated but i believe i did great, that intimidation might have helped me out a bit lol.
Believe me I know how you feel! I feel like im in the limbo...like they have my future in their hands and im just waiting for them .
What was your question if you mind me asking? Mine was: "If there was a small child in a day care, who felt lonely and left out, what would you do to make them feel better?" it was super easy. Honestly, I wish they asked more personal questions like: what are your extracurricular activities? volunteering? what do you do for fun? Medical scenarios maybe?
i dont know how one questions and one word that describes you can help out in a decision making...
Yes i agree with you 100%. Im pretty sure they are looking at GPA's and things like that when making their choices too. I mean how can they remember each and everyone of us. What is your GPA if you dont mind sharing it with me?
My GPA is not the best, and I know ive had some bumps along the road due to family issues 2 years ago. But honestly, I showed improvement and gave my 100% to get over it. LOL i want this so bad and i know its what i want to do! I have over 700 hours of volunteering and i've been super involved in helping others and in clubs I even got a CNA license. I hope they can see that grades arent just everything, its personality and what you as a person have to offer patients which is what we will be doing one day.
I believe you have a BIG chance :yelclap:
Do you have any experience in the medical field? Do you think you did good on your essay: the one in the application and interview? I heard they look at that a lot as well. I wrote sooo sloppy in the interview essay because I had put some hand lotion prior to the interview and the pen was sliding out lol. But i finished it at least, i hope they understand it.
