Nova Southeastern ABSN Fall 2021

Hi everyone! I'm creating this thread for the Fall 2021 cohort since I have not seen one. I have been recently accepted so I can help with any questions you have about the application process! There is also a facebook group for the accepted students of this cohort called Nova Southeastern- Fort Myers ABSN Fall 2021. So if you or anyone you know got accepted, please refer them to this group ?

I applied a few months ago to the ft meyers ABSN as a backup and it was a really weird experience. They called, they were super nice. They said I look like an awesome candidate and my grades and scores were amazing. The lady told me to be prepared to get a call to schedule the interview. A week later I got a letter in the mail saying I was denied and they didn’t answer any of my calls or emails…. Just odd bc I have a 3.6 cumulative and 3.6 prereq GPA with a 87 on the TEAS (even tho they don’t take the TEAS I know) I’m not mad about it at all because I got into my dream program!! UNF’s accelerated BSN for fall and I can’t wait! I have a friend in the nova ABSN program though and she said she loves it but it’s super unorganized (probably because of covid though). Goodluck though!! You will get in ?

Hi y'all! I was checking out NSU's program and saw that the application for this Fall is still open. I was curious if the likelihood I get accepted is super small.. I know they do rolling admission but still.

Thanks @gatorgal - I decided not to go with Nova. I called and let the office know I wasn’t attending at the beginning of July and I’m still getting emails from them about Orientation and if I’m still going. I of course emailed them and let them know I had already told the school I wasn’t attending. This was an instance where my gut feeling was right — I hope your experience has been a good one, though.

Anyone here who accepted their seat in this program, how is it going? any pros and cons?
