I am sorry that you did not pass. I know the feeling, I had to take my exam three times. Please don't give up. Take a break and start back fresh with studying. You can do it! God didn't bring you this far to leave you. Things happen and we can't understand why, use this has a learning experience and take in all the knowledge you can. Try Suzanne's plan, it helped me. Keep you chin up. You can do it!!

Never give up. There will always be next time. What ever the result will be, u know u have done your best. It may not be enough on the BRN's standard but with perceverance, soon you will hit what they want. You will pass...Dont be dishearten, take a deep breath, ask for guidance. Best of luck to everyone.

:icon_hug::redpinkhe: Let's think back over the last twenty-four hours, and consider the things we did. If we had the chance, what would we do differently?

Fortunately, we do have the chance, and it is now. As we move forward through this day, we can apply all the lessons we have learned from all the places we have been.

If we recall some negative thinking or behavior in our past, now is our chance to move away from it. In the same way, there were also things that worked out well, and now is our opportunity to give more of our time and energy to them.

There is never any need to burden ourselves with regrets. For we can always turn our negative past experiences into positive present insights and actions.

This moment right now is our opportunity to benefit from what wehave learned in all the moments leading up to it. This moment right now is our opportunity to be the best we can be, because we are now more experienced than you have ever been.

Let's choose to transform that experience into wisdom, always looking for positive ways to do differently. And as each day goes by, our lives will grow in richness, joy and fulfillment.

To whom it may concern:

I would like to inform you all that I failed again for the third time my NCLEX RN exam. For all your prayers and continued support, I whole heartedly thank you all. After I'll deliver my baby girl on Monday, I'll be studying once again. Hope all of you will still be here to assist me in achieving my goal to pass this exam soon. All the best to all!:icon_hug::redpinkhe

I'm sorry to hear the you didn't pass the exam but i would like to Congratulate you for your upcoming baby... that is a great blessing for you! All of us here will continue to pray for you. Take some rest first & i can feel your motivation to go back and study again.. in God's time i believe He'll give it to you. You can do it the next time! Godbless!

You're about to have a baby? Wow, do I admire you for pushing yourself to study. I was so out of it when I was pregnant that I can't even imagine the kind of focus that's required for taking such a big exam. You will eventually pass, but give yourself a break! Motherhood was the most exhausting (and rewarding) thing I ever did. And important! If you have not passed more than once, I bet you any money you have to focus on the very specific subject of dealing with nclex questions. I went in feeling very "content deprived" - i.e. I definitely didn't feel confident about meds, and worse, I didn't study enough signs and symptoms. For some reason, I had it in my head that cardiac stuff is the most important - sure it's important, but it's not the only way that people get sick. In retrospect, I think I ignored other types of illness and wouldn't you know that's what I was tested about! I do think I missed a lot, but when you get up tot the "Difficult" questions, you're expected to pass only fifty percent. Next time around, (and you will do it!) please do yourself a favor and work on the unique aspect and the "strange world" of NCLEX questions. Good luck with the new baby!

GOODLUCK TO YOU, NEKO! WE'LL BE PRAYING THAT YOU PASS!

StarMatrix, you're my inspiration right now.

Okay, so after we give ourselves a few days off, let's start reviewing again. Let's use Suzanne's Plan. The Kaplan NCLEX-RN book 2007 edition was very, very useful too. Then, there's the Prioritization, Delegation and Assignment book by LaCharity. Let's study and restudy and restudy them all.

I know somebody who only studied 500 Qs during his entire review period and passed. He said he just kept going through those Qs till he got them by heart. There's also this other person I know who used only the Saunders Comprehensive book and the Kaplan NCLEX-RN 2007 and passed. We can also throw in the Kaplan Medication Flashcards if we still have time.

I'll be including you in my prayers for a safe delivery and for your baby too. :hbsmiley:

God bless you, StarMatrix.

I found the Mosby's priority and delegation book (about 20 bucks at barnes and noble) to be really good - by the end of the book, I feel like I really "got it." There's also a lot of stuff out there on the flashcard websites for rote memorization.

Wouldn't it make sense that practicing a lot of questions would make you know it all? It makes sense, but it isn't true - I got very very sick of doing the questions, so I stopped. Knowing how the test works, I think, is the most important thing. Ncsbn does outline the labs you need to know but not the meds - I'd like to think the test has mostly important drugs, but some people do get really obscure ones. Go figure!
