Note taking/Organization tips

Published

Any organization tips or note taking tips for a&p class! Next semester I will be taking a&p1&cna course and I'm also waiting for acceptance into my nursing program for fall 2014.! I just wanna get some tips from others about rather they use binders for organization, notebooks for note taking? I wanna finish up my last semester before nursing school as good as possible and also take tips into my program that will help me!

I LOVE BINDERS!! They are amazing for organizing by system especially for a&p! I would suggest that when you are taking notes do things that YOU will remember and practice applying it to everyday life. Helped me tons. For example if I see someone with a cane in my head I'm thinking about the systems involved and what area it's helping.

Good day:

While this coming January, I'm going to try and go paperless for notes (iPad with stylus and where needed a Bluetooth keyboard), I used the Flex Hybrid Binder - Amazon.com: Five Star Flex Hybrid NoteBinder, 1-Inch, Blue (72011): Office Products for the summer and falls semester; it worked rather well.

I would take my hand written notes and then re-type them keeping them together with my reading notes (which were already type written).

I would also create flash cards and use them both as cards (quizlet) as well as print PDF (printing on both sides of the paper to save paper and space) files out so I would have a hard copy when there was no internet access.

Thank u so much

So my note taking skills are unique ways I remember. I write in my books with colored pens, anywhere i can fit it. Some may say this is sloppy but for some reason when it is wrote sideways in Orange I see the picture in my head. I love binders and flash cards!!

I am going paperless as well. I commute so I am trying to have less is more theory. iCloud and cloud on are great for backing up stuff. Flash cards by istud is looking like it will be a great app. You can save them by category. I feel like mine are always getting out of order in my backpack or getting misplaced.

I'm a binder / loose leaf paper person myself. Be sure to get on the same page with your instructor regarding what to write down....

Good day, VAgirl247:

My classes start this coming Monday the 13th. So far I've been annotating chapters for A&P II & Microbiology using GoodNotes as well as storing research (I like to check out various 3rd party sources to get different angles on a subject) using EverNote. Out of the four classes I'm taking, I was able to get ebooks for two of them... so it looks promising in terms of just using the ipad.

Thank you.
