Not being able to understand...

Published

I am sorry, because I use to post on this site all the time because I couldn't understand what i read. I figured out what it was, and it was A.D.D. I drank coffee today and all of a sudden I was able to read 50 pages of history text in less than 2 hours and get 100%... Without coffee it would take me 6-7 hours to study and still not get an A. Today was the first time I was able to concentrate! I can imagine what the A.D.D medicine will do!

I actually felt normal like the majority of the students to be able to focus and study without moving around! Thanks guys for the support and now I am ready to cope with this and hopefully pass nursing school later on in life.

Way to go. Can't wait for the reports on greenies and blow.

This post was literally my first "laugh out loud" moment this week!

So I take it "greenies" aren't your vegetables?????

50 pages of text book in two hours? That's impressive.

Based on previous posts, I doubt this is a valid observation. OP could use professional help with his problems.

So...greenies are veggies, nor are they dog treats. My other guess would be herbs grown for medicinal purposes?

Yea never said I wasnt getting help. I went and got diagnosed already. Just saying that coffee helped me focus and concentrate and I did not have to keep reading sentences over and over.

Not everyone can become a nurse?? LOL? Thats only if you dont like it, or you cant handle it... I can handle alot especially because i sit down and dont give up.

Caffeine is a central nervous system stimulant. By definition, that means it helps most people concentrate. This trait is not indicative or diagnostic of ADHD in any way shape or form.

Im not gonna say I have A.D.D cause caffeine helped me.. After I got diagnosed I was told to try out caffeine and see if that helped, then i would get my medication a week later....

What you said in your OP was:

You made no mention of a professional diagnosis.

I do hope that you are receiving professional help as you finish high school.
