Northwell Health Nurse Fellowship April 2021

Hello Everyone,

I haven't seen a thread for the 2021 Northwell nurse fellowships so I figured I might as well started. Has anyone been able to apply for any of their fellowships. I wanted to do the critical care fellowship but I have not been able to find the application on the website. Is anyone else having this issue ?? Please let me know.

I have heard they choose internal applicants first and often fill all of the spots before they even get to external applicants. I didn't hear anything back for my April or July applications, but I got into St. Francis Hospital's emergency dept RN residency program and just started last week. It was honestly my first choice, so I'm content with how everything ultimately played out.

I did my periop fellowship interview June 2nd, waited 2 n half weeks for references and offer for the fellowship. I heard OR is the latest fellowship to hear back from. One of my friends heard back from the critical care fellowship last week.

Thank you! I had an OR externship and only 5months of RN Vaccinator. She was an internal of northwell and was an RN Vaccinator as well.

Thank you! LIJ Medical Center, I was just stunned from the outside and the inside of the hospital. Truly blessed.

Hi. I also interviewed for the OR fellowship last week but they said they should be getting back to the candidates this week since the July fellowship starts august 1st. I'm worried bc I currently work in the Northwell system as a PCA and won't be able to give a 2-week notice if I am selected since the start date is so soon. 

Do they let the candidates that are rejected know as well?

I think it's better to email them to confirm if you are offered the job or not. Isn't it kinda late already for this round?

Yea I thought it was late too. But my interview was just last week and in the interview, they told me they had one more candidate to interview after me so I figured they were late making the decisions and are doing it very close to the start date!

not sure if I should email the director of northwell fellowships or I should email the women that was interviewing me...

Yeah definitely email them or call the recruiter. They only do the email that says "position has been filled" email. And that is definitely a late interview, was it with Ashley and Danielle?

Email or call Ellen or the recruiter who set the interview up for you. First orientation starts this Friday. Did they ask for references after the interview?
