i have waiting and have never been a very patient guy. not sure how many times i have told my girlfriend that i am ready to change careers. this day cannot come soon enough.
april 15th sounds so far away still. i applied in jan and hate the wait.
i wonder in they go out right on april 15th or if they send early if they are ready to get the letters out. the sooner the better!!
the website does say "notification letters are mailed by april 15th" maybe the will come sooner.

Sorry jpgmavs,
The letters will go out on April 15th. However, depending on where you live in Dallas, you will receive it the next day. Been here before and El Centro/Northlake are timely with mailouts. There will be no early sending of letters.
There was a big blunder during the last round of acceptance letters and I am sure they do not want to repeat that disaster by sending letters out early without lease checking three or four times before they mail. They had to revoke some admittances because they calculated the rankings incorrectly and did not discover it until a week later.

I am receiving the El centro letter on apr.15 or 16 as well. It has been an excrutiating wait!! Not too many more weeks though. I even went to health occ and asked Kanora if she would tell me what the cut off gpa was-NO WAY!!!! So I am worried due to my pre requ gpa is 3.8 due to a stupid b in eng and 4.0 for the 9 credits of support courses and 96 for hesi. If the pool of applicants had 100 4.0's for pre requ gpa, I'm screwed.

I doubt that there will be 100 people with 4.0 gpa. Hopefully not, because I have a 3.87 and I'm not too worried. I'm thinking that maybe there will be no need for you to worry either mom35. I wonder why there aren't more people on here this semester....I guess most aren't too worried about their grades or something. I was hoping for more enthusiasm from applicants so that I could get a feel for my competition.
Apparently the spring 09 gpa cut off was around 3.67, at least that is what I heard. And then some one that is an RN now and recently graduated North lake said when she applied the cut off was 4.0 so she retook a class and reapplied with a 4.0 and they took down to 3.7, something like that. I agree that I wish more EC/NL applicants were on here so then we could know more gpa's. I am really feeling anxious, and I should have applied to brkhaven as well. I think I would need one more prerequ for brkhaven. I dont know, I was so positive but I am feeling so nervous and even physically sick from worry. I am trying to stay busy and not worry, but the weekend is so long and I want so much to walk over to paramount building and beg to know if I am in. This would surely annoy them and make them hate me. But I did go over to the paramount and said to myself-" this is were I will be in Fall 2009 ADN program" Trying to use my positive affirmations to use the power of intention to bring about my dream of being an RN. Oh well, only 14 more days, somehow I am going to have to make it. Torture, this is pure torture. I feel like ripping the hair off my head:scrm::flmngmd::yldhdbng::grn:I mean it people, I am usually calm, positive and upbeat, but I am feeling purely neurotic right now!! I want that darn letter now!!:plsebeg::wtosts::dzed::spbox::smackingf
I think you are taking a bit too seriously. You need to relax and think positive for now. When april 15th comes and you are admitted, you are going to kick yourself in the butt for worrying so much and wasting all that energy. If things don't turn out the way you want in two week then you can be all neurotic....as for now...relax and believe in yourself...

For those who were accepted, did the letter you receive include a packet? The big packet rumor has been around basically saying if you get a packet you know you got in, if it's just a regular letter, you did not.
i dont know anything about el centro or northlake programs. but i heard the big packet rumor. but at twu and the rest of the schools i applied to, its a regular standard envelope regardless if you got in or not. good luck to everyone!!
