I am planning on starting at Northern Kentucky University for the Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program online. Has anyone ever attended this program? If so any advice or thoughts about this program at NKU? Thanks!

I am in the program and have had no complaints yet. Hope you all get in and do well!!

Yes , they definitely are. The FNP program is accredited. Good luck!! I just spoke to Counselor today. Seems good so far. Have you heard reviews ?? They have 6 start dates which is nice.

Hi I’ve seen mixed reviews that’s wgu posted here a few weeks ago before I applied. I haven’t heard anything too bad aside from “teaching yourself” which honestly I did throughout nursing school. I’ve also been facebook stalking other students who have posted about it LOL.

When do you plan on starting? I’m hoping for the 3/15/2021 start but I might change to January. I’m impatient LOL.

I haven’t applied yet. I am in between Jan and March as well. I think March would be good as well to get me mentally prepared LOL. I deleted my FB acct but that is good idea LOL. There are few schools I am looking into and hard to make a decision. I know it’s good to apply to more than one. But at same time I want to make sure which ones I really am considering before I pay application fee and request transcripts .

Congratulations!!!! ? That is definitely exciting!!!!

IDK about me applying anymore. Classes are 6 weeks and made me think if it will be too fast for Me. I’m confused between this one and Lewis which is in IL but would be online too?

Thank you! It is a bit fast paced but I'm excited. I'm bored in my current job.

I start NKU PMHNP program 3-15 as well! I also deleted my facebook account so have not seen what is going on with that group. I am excited to start!

How are you liking the PMHNP program so far? I’m applying.

So far so good. I started my first 2 classes March 15. I feel a little overwhelmed but starting to adjust my brain. I went down to 20 hours a week at work so I can have a little downtime on the weekend. Mostly it has been a lot of discussion boards and writing. It is all about writing and APA format mixed with a lot of reading. I am pretty happy with everything so far? good luck !! Keep us posted if you get in. I am so excited to be in the program.
