Northern Illinois University Admission to Fall 2014 Program

Hi everyone,

I am currenty applying to some nursig schools, and NIU is one of my top choices, I am very nervous and excited at the same time to see if I get accepted, wondering if there is anyone else out there applying too :) maybe we can help each other and get some info :)

The only other school I applied to is Aurora University. I got accepted into the program there and im pretty sure im choosing to go their instead. Good luck! UIC is an amazing program.

Thanks! Yeah NIU waits too long... I was glad AU sent theirs mid-March. Hopefully you'll get good news from both schools :-) !

I just got my acceptance letter in the mail. A lot earlier that I thought.. But I'm an niu student so maybe that's why. Check your mailboxes! So glad the wait is over for me haha. Good luck everyone stay positive !

Does your acceptance show up on your MyNIU page also?

Or did you only get an acceptance letter in the mail and that's it?

Hey woodruff I didn't see any changes on my myniu or receive any emails, just the letter from the mail.

Thanks for letting me know. I haven't heard any news either way. My kids bring in the mail and leave it all over the place. I am so afraid I'll miss the letter somehow. Did your acceptance come as a letter or in a manilla envelope?

Just checked the mail and still no letter letting me know either way. I was hoping to hear by now. I called NIU on Tuesday and they said the last batch of letters would be going out by the end of the week. Anyone else hear anything yet? I am a transfer applicant.
