I'm starting this thread as a 'buddy group' since there are a few NECC students and grads here. It would be nice to be able to share information and help each other out!

Not sure if this belongs in the MA or student forums, so please move if needed. It will be much easier to resurrect in the MA forum, and there seem to be lots of school postings there, so that's why I chose it.

It's been a crazy and hectic couple of weeks, but loving it. Students and instructors all good so far...LOTS LOTS LOTS of reading...classes interesting and very practical and real world, if that makes sense....labs are all hands on, already learned several skills (vital signs, transferring, wound care, etc.) to use in clinical rotations which start next week! It turns out that three people were called up from the waiting list which is more than I expected...thought you'd like to know that! From what I hear, you really HAVE to ace the TEAS test and get A's or close to it in any prereq math/science classes to have a good chance of getting in....if you have any specific questions about anything, just let me know. Thanks for your good wishes.

Jenbpt- thanks for keeping us updated.. Hope things are going well.

I still need to get CPR certified and I didn't do that yet..Is anyone taking a CPR class? Even though we are on the wait list did we have to have this done already or by the fall of 2010??

Awesome you must be so excited. Letters should go out sometime in March so I am just waiting. I got into Greater lowell but I am waiting to here about NECC as this is my 1st choice.

thanks, yeah I have been taking a class at a time for the past 2 years too, seems like so long ago I started this journey. What part of Ma are you from? I coming from chelmsford. So lawrence isn't too bad.

silly question, what are the uniform requirements? silly i know i havent even gotten in yet and worrying about what I will be wearing. hospital blue and white shoes?

It feels so long ago for me also. I just keep telling myself everyday that goes by I am getting closer. I am from Newbury Mass. I am not sure about the shoes I think white..maybe blue scrubs??
