Northeastern Direct Entry 2021

Published

Hi everyone! I thought I'd start this thread for anyone else who applied to the Northeastern Direct Entry Program for 2021!

If any of you guys applied for FNP we are not going to hear back until early March

Hmmm I applied for PMHNP, has anyone from the psych specialty heard anything yet?? I don’t recall seeing any posts of people being accepted/rejected for psych yet. Maybe it’s the same case as FNP.

I don’t know about Psych but I do remember someone posting that they got accepted for FNP over a month ago. Definitely makes me nervous ?

Did anyone apply and or get in for AGACNP? Just trying to connect with someone also in the same specialty!

Specializes in FNP.

So I did apply for FNP, and have seen that people have already had interviews, so I feel like even though I haven't been accepted or rejected yet, that I should have at least received an interview scheduling by now. Has anyone else for FNP not even received an interview yet?

Agh this is just frustrating. I really wish these schools were more transparent about their admissions processes. Going through the same thing with Columbia right now. Why did some people get accepted to NE in January when the rest of us have heard absolutely nothing from the school? I understand if covid is making things more complicated but just communicate that with us!!

I also haven't had an interview and applied for FNP. I'm not worried about it though because I don't think that an interview is required. I emailed admissions earlier in the month stating that I hadn't been reached out for an interview and if I was still being considered. They responded saying that they are still reviewing applications. Also, when I emailed (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) I told her that I had deadlines for deposits for other schools coming up and that I was still interested in Northeastern. I feel like she would have told me if my application was rejected instead of having me wait until early March so they might not have even gotten to it yet. I believe that FNP is the specialty with the most applicants so I think they are being truthful that they simply just haven't gotten to everyone's yet. That, and they are probably waiting for decisions from the accepted candidates to see how many more people they can let in. Those are just my thoughts ?

I also am in the second round for Columbia. That school makes me more nervous though since they start in May/June.

I know right? Isn't that the most frustrating situation ever? It's almost the end of February and they said the second round of decisions would be out in early February ???

Oh okay, well that makes me feel a little better about things. Thank you for the information! I appreciate it.

No problem! I'm glad it made you less nervous

Yeah did you see the post about how there is an integration period from May 3rd-June 7th? That's way too soon having not heard back from them yet.
