Nursing Students School Programs

Hi everyone! I thought I'd start this thread for anyone else who applied to the Northeastern Direct Entry Program for 2021!

I applied! Any thoughts on when we'll hear back from them?

I applied as well! which speciality did you apply to? I applied to FNP. Based on previous threads it seemed like reply times varied so I am really not sure haha

I applied to the AGAC-NP and I just received a question from someone reviewing my application so it seems they’re still in the reviewing process

I was accepted to FNP on Friday! Northeastern is my top choice so I'm trying to figure out my finances before I submit my deposit. Let me know if you guys have questions about interviews or anything! I interviewed over Zoom with the adult primary care director. We talked for ~30 min and she asked me mostly expected questions (why the provider role, why Northeastern, where do you see yourself in 5 years) and then our conversation was based on my questions ?

OMG congratulations! That’s so exciting for you! Do you know if everyone gets interviewed? I assumed they sent all the decisions at once, but I guess it’s more of a rolling decision? When did you submit your app?

@amanda12 thank you!!☺️ I'm very excited! I read the NEU thread from last year many times and it seems like not every specialty requires an interview, and that decisions are kind of sporadic. I sent my application at the end of October and interviewed right after Christmas!

Congrats! Did you receive any information about scholarships or aid and how much the program costs? I’m trying to figure out if I’ll end up needed a personal loan or if they give you enough federal loans to cover!

I reached out to the program director about this, and she said that merit-based aid is very limited but is awarded early to mid February. She also said that most students take out federal/personal loans at least for the BSN portion of the program, and that financing the MSN is easier since almost everyone is working at least part time as an RN.

thank you! direct entry MSN ?

I applied for the Neonatal NP MSN program and haven't heard back yet. It does seem that based on the last forum, people are hearing back at different times!
