Northeastern ABSN Fall 2020

Nursing Students School Programs

Hello!

Has anyone applied to Northeastern's ABSN for Fall of 2020? I applied almost 2 weeks ago and I was told I'll get an answer within 3-4 weeks. Has anyone who applied early received an answer yet? It looks like a lot of people who have applied in the past have gotten accepted on here.

haha I just emailed my admissions counselor today too. I'm trying not to be annoying, but ill be moving from California so I'm hoping to hear sooner rather than later. We just wait for the email right? There isn't a portal or anything we can log onto?

Yes, an email. Not sure from who. I received an email from the director a few weeks ago just reminding me of the application deadline. Wonder if it would be sent from him.

Email will be coming from Northeastern University, it’s their admission email, so it’s no one specific. Just look out for the subject, “Northeastern University Application Decision.” Good luck to you!

I did not get in. It was real. Good luck to you all in the future.

I’m so sorry. I hope the best for you in your future! This is just one road block so please do not get discouraged. Best of luck. ❤️

Thank you for your kind words. I’m trying to stay positive. I wasn’t for the program and the program probably wasn’t for me either. There’s something out there better for me.

It looks like you all are in Boston. I just applied to the school in Charlotte. However, the price is crazy to me. Very overwhelmed by it.

I am also having a really hard time finding info from students in the program.

Hi! I just made a forum about the charlotte program. How is the program so far for you? Would truly appreciate any advice or feedback

Hi Rose. I can’t speak for Charlotte and I know you asked that person what they think, but I feel like they’re both pretty similar. I will have to say this program has been my biggest regret and I can’t wait for this awful experience to end.

OMG I’m so sorry to hear that. You’re scaring me LOL. Thank you for your response. Are you at boston? May I ask what makes the program do awful and why do you regret it?

Has anyone heard anything about the Spring 2022 admissions?

Specializes in Nursing.

For anyone who has been accepted, would you mind sharing your stats?

I graduated from the Charlotte campus in December 2021. Im now working in a cardiac ICU at a trauma level 1 hospital in NYC as a new grad. The program is tough. From what I’ve heard the Charlotte and Boston campus are comparable. You really have to be able to work and learn independently. You won’t get much from your professors. Some are amazing some are ***. If you’re willing to put in the work though, and I mean really dedicate yourself then you can do it. I wouldn’t let the negative comments turn you away. The program is expensive if you can get into another BSN program that’s less expensive then go that route. From my experience, they’ll basically let anyone who can pay for it into the program. That’s why a lot of the classes are really tough to weed people who aren’t serious out. But you won’t be left completely out to dry. Attend every review session and tutor session , ask questions STUDY, and you will pass. You literally just have to be willing to put in the work. I personally didn’t have a job during the program but  I graduated with girls who worked through the entire 16 months, and people with families, kids etc. Don’t be discouraged by a few bad reviews.  I passed my NCLEX in 75 questions in an hour and a half. The program will prepare you for that. You just have to be willing to dedicate your life for 16 months. For me it was worth it.
