Northeastern ABSN Fall 2020

Published

Hello!

Has anyone applied to Northeastern's ABSN for Fall of 2020? I applied almost 2 weeks ago and I was told I'll get an answer within 3-4 weeks. Has anyone who applied early received an answer yet? It looks like a lot of people who have applied in the past have gotten accepted on here.

I graduated from the Charlotte campus in December 2021. Im now working in a cardiac ICU at a trauma level 1 hospital in NYC as a new grad. The program is tough. From what I’ve heard the Charlotte and Boston campus are comparable. You really have to be able to work and learn independently. You won’t get much from your professors. Some are amazing some are ***. If you’re willing to put in the work though, and I mean really dedicate yourself then you can do it. I wouldn’t let the negative comments turn you away. The program is expensive if you can get into another BSN program that’s less expensive then go that route. From my experience, they’ll basically let anyone who can pay for it into the program. That’s why a lot of the classes are really tough to weed people who aren’t serious out. But you won’t be left completely out to dry. Attend every review session and tutor session , ask questions STUDY, and you will pass. You literally just have to be willing to put in the work. I personally didn’t have a job during the program but  I graduated with girls who worked through the entire 16 months, and people with families, kids etc. Don’t be discouraged by a few bad reviews.  I passed my NCLEX in 75 questions in an hour and a half. The program will prepare you for that. You just have to be willing to dedicate your life for 16 months. For me it was worth it.

Please know that my review was almost a year ago, and I am unable to delete it. I can only speak on Boston’s experience, but at the end of the day, graduated in December of 2021 with a high GPA and passed the NCLEX in 75 questions. I would delete my review if I could, but my current advice to those applying to the Boston campus is that it is completely doable and although your experience will be rough because of how the program is run, it is achievable. I am a mom to a toddler and worked part time during the program!

Thanks for information! Do you mind if I could pm you and ask some more questions? Just really nervous about the program
