Hey all! I’m currently in the process of fixing my application for the Northeastern ABSN program. Unfortunately, my circumstances were a bit crazy. So my grades are poor.
I was removed from my house at 18 due to domestic abuse and was homeless for all of half of 2019, and all of 2020. I slept in any anywhere from churches, mosques, care centers to just the streets of Boston. I do have a bachelors in Health Sciences (conc in healthcare admin) but I only have a 2.8
My science GPA is LOW. I am working on retaking whatever I need to. I also have clinical experience in clinics as well as a hospital which I’m currently at. My financial situation has improved as my mother re married a great guy who actually helped dig us out of poverty. So attending school with no financial responsibility is feasible. I’m currently 22 years old and just want a normal life for once and I believe nursing can really help me get there - specifically Northeastern.
I don’t have any friends so I figured maybe someone would have any criticism/wisdom/or just overall support for my application! Thanks guys!
