North Georgia College & State University Fall 2011

U.S.A. Georgia

Hey all! I am currently in the application process for Fall 2011 at North GA College & State. I was wondering if anyone out there can offer me come comfort on the application process and acceptance statistics? I am very impressed with the college so far and will be highly disappointed if I'm not granted acceptance, but I'm going crazy with all of the waiting games (I've applied to several schools).

hey don't know about this year..but last year when I got my acceptance letter it had everything included in the packet. It was a little misleading about "more info. coming" but it was all there. there should be background check, drug test, uniform, and vaccination instructions. and info about orientation. so hope this helps..congrats to everyone! :)

Yes Please! Keep those fingers crossed :D

Does anyone know how long the wait list is? All I was told was that I'm about half way down on the list.. But that list could be 5 people, it could be 20 people.. So I really don't know what my chances are..

Hi, I don't know what your situation is..but I see your on the waiting list. I am not trying to discourage you or get you down..but I was on the waiting list for a year and then got put on it another year but did get in that time. I ended up getting my waiting list letter in jan..and getting in, in july. I hope this helps, hopefully you will get in for this year and not have to wait a year. GL! :) Don't give up! You will get in! I have almost finished my first year and its been great! :)

I had called a while back for information on the "more to come packet". When I spoke with the office they said they are changing companies for some of the information (drug test companies, etc) and they are waiting for the contracts to finalize before they sent us the stuff. They said it could take a month or two for us to receive it all. Just wanted to give you all a heads up! :)

Thank you! It's a little easier to wait when I've got an idea of the deadline.

I got my information packet, today! I haven't looked through it all, yet. Check your mailboxes!

Is anyone interested in organizing a group for the CPR training? I checked out the pricing, and M. Barber's course seems to be the cheapest out of the suggested areas.

The course is $45, but it drops to $35 if a group of 5+ books at once. It also says that the group can pick a date, time, and location that is convenient, which could be helpful if the other course offerings don't fit into someone's schedule.

Hi Agri,

Your suggestion sounds good. Count me on the plan for CPR. I got my package today and now I am nervous because it is unpredictably fast.

Heoconbubu,

Great! Hopefully we can pick up 3 more people pretty easily. I sent an email requesting the available dates, times, and locations. Hopefully, she'll be able to get back to me soon.

There is a lot to do before May 5! I guess they're testing our tine management skills early on.

Here is the information I received from M. Barber about scheduling a group appointment:

Let me know which date and time is good for everyone in your group. The only days and times I cannot teach are Monday and Fridays from 8am-4pm and Wednesdays before 1:30pm. I am currently doing classes every Wednesday from 1:30pm-3pm in the HNS building at NGCSU. If you prefer a weekend day, I can arrange a class in the Library technology center at NGCSU. If this location is not convenient for your group, I will come to a location that you set up. Forward this information to your group and let me know what you all would like to do

Hey everybody! I was just wondering if anybody knows which gainesville state campus the nursing classes are offered at...oakwood or watkinsville? I am applying for the ADN program with North Ga state for spring 2012 but only want to take classes at Gainsville state college because it is much closer to me.
