North Georgia College & State University Fall 2011

Hey all! I am currently in the application process for Fall 2011 at North GA College & State. I was wondering if anyone out there can offer me come comfort on the application process and acceptance statistics? I am very impressed with the college so far and will be highly disappointed if I'm not granted acceptance, but I'm going crazy with all of the waiting games (I've applied to several schools).

The group booking idea for the CPR class didn't seem to generate much interest, so I'm just going to register for one of the classes she has slated on her schedule. If you would still like to get a group together, I can let her know that. I just need to get a firm date booked because I have to ask off for work.

I think this idea does not seem to attract much of participants :) Sorry Arig, I reply late because it has been a busy week. I also got acceptance to GPC, so, I might think of going there. Do you have any advice of what school should I go to. I am in dilemma :( Thank you for any of your idea, comment. Have a great night :)

To everyone still waiting, May 5th is the deadline to get everything done for the fall. If you haven't heard anything yet that means you didn't get in, I'm sorry, getting in is so tough but I wish you all the best of luck!!!

Hey I was just wondering if anyone has already been through at least a semester through this nurisng program. I start in the Fall at Gainesville and the schedule says it's mon, wed, fri but I was wondering if they put skills lab thoughout the week or if we will only need to be there mon, wed, fri?

I sent in all of my stuff - so, what's our next step? Just orientation on the 11th of August! So excited to meet my future classmates! Anyone at Dahlonega?

Yea I just sent in all of my stuff today, it definitely wasn't easy getting it all in with just a month to do it! Ya our next step is orientation and we're already signed up for classes so that is when we meet everyone and don't forget to order your uniform and accessories by July! I'm at the Gainesville campus but we all have orientation together.

How do you know all this!? I feel so lost - I thought I had to meet back at the campus on the 16th to register. Wow - I'm so confused!!

Haha oh it's ok the only reason I know is because I e-mailed them several times asking a lot of questions lol but when you are accepted you're automatically in the classes unless you need extra ones like anatomy or english, any of those classes you sign up for at orientation.

Okay! I was very confused. :) I do think I want to re-take anatomy if they'll let me... I also want to see if they will allow me to do an independent study. After I graduate I will be moving out of state and that particular state requires you to have a specific course that is not offered anywhere!

Oh why would you want to re-take anatomy? If you already got into a program what's the point lol. Ya I want to definitely talk to the advisors for possible job opportunities and see what they can do for us because I know after 1 semester of nursing school you're able to become a nurse tech
