U.S.A. Georgia

Published

I just got my late acceptance for NGCSU today!! I am so excited! I have been on the waiting list for the 2nd year and its about time!! But has anyone else been accepted for fall? I didn't see a thread on it. Congrats to all!!! YAY!:nurse:

hey I thought you got rejected.. ;) but see your grades didn't go unnoticed. but congrats on West ga! Were you on the waitlist too at NGCSU? b/c in the other thread you said you just got ur letter today?!? thats crazy! was it lost in the mail or just late? just curious. but it would have been too hard for me to commute all the way to West Ga I don't really know why I even applied. Its just too hard when you have a 3 yr old and a husband with a weird work schedule.

Hi nrice28, yeah I was on the waitlist. I actually don't mind the drive there, its the drive coming home that I don't like, because I have to deal with the crazy traffic.

Specializes in OB/GYN.

All that matters is u are in the program now. Your determination and not giving up gives me a lot of inspiration. Good Luck!!!!

Thanks nrice28 for all your information!! That is really encouraging!! My 1st choice for RN school is NGCSU (I also live in Cumming) and the Lanier Tech location would be awesome!! I just hope I do not have to wait for 2 years!!! I did not know they keep a waiting list?? I have all A's in all the required pre-reqs but I know from experience that does not guarantee you being chosen. Good Luck to you!! Let us hopefuls know how it goes!!!

Hey Nrice28

I live in Dahlonega just 8 minutes from the school, and I've also applied but I have to take the TEAS test. How did you do on the TEAS test? When I pass the test I plan on starting in the Nursing program in 2011

I hate the TEAS personally, but I only made a 72.4..I did retake it but north ga didn't even see my new grades and I still got in. So just get the study guide and review. I think that the "general" science part was tricky..talks about rocks and pretty much fifth grade type stuff, and the math was hard and I ran out of time.

Good luck! North Georgia has been great school! the teachers actually care and I really like my teacher. she is so great. but good luck.

Can you tell me how days a week the bridge program is? I live in McDonough and I am trying to figure the gas...

Bridge from Lpn or Bsn? well I think the BSN is only 1 day a week for 1 year..(if I am not right, its on the website) and the LPN is pretty much the same for the ASN program except the LPN students join us next semester..so they go a semester less than us. Hope that helps. thats a long drive.

Thanks, I am graduating in 10 days from an LPN program, yea! So, I'm going the LPN to RN route. I saw the clinical day was 1 day a week, but I was not sure about the class days/times. It sounds like a great college so I would make the drive...

Hey! I know I'm late posting on this, but I'm trying to apply for North GA for Fall of 2011. I read some of your posts in regards to grades and such and I'm nervous! My A&Ps were both Bs, micro was a B+, chem was B w/A lab and C w/A lab, I did calculus with an A, stat with a B, psych with B. I got an 85 or 86 on TEAS score. I have random other science classes (biology, organic chem, etc - but know these don't apply). My B.S. degree ended with a 3.4 GPA. What's it looking like? HELP!!!

Les...I personally think you'll be fine. Already having a bachelor's degree will probably help. I'm trying to get into the fall 2011 semester as well. Hopefully, we'll both get in. Which campus are you hoping to attend?

I'm hoping for Dahlonega, but put down Gainesville for 2nd choice. What about you? I'm already nervous!
