Hi, I'm also going to be trying to get into the nursing program at Wayne CC for the Fall 2012 semester. From what I hear it's pretty competitive and goes off of a complete point system. I don't know how much you've looked into the admissions process, but if you can pull off good A's and B's in your classes and do well on your ACT test (mainly English) you shouldn't have to much to worry about. I think they take in about 30 students (not sure where I seen that figure). The main classes you should focus on making sure you have the highest grades in are A & P I & II, General Microbiology, Expository Writing, Literature - Based Research, General Psychology, & Developmental Psychology. But if you don't do all of them just pick and choose a few to help your point count. If you keep that in mind and apply yourself to studying for your ACT and get the best grades you can on some of those classes you shouldn't have to worry to much. Good luck on it! I know it's had me nervous as mess thinking if I will get in or not! :D

That is really neat that you are applying for the Fall 2012. Good luck and I hope you do get in. :)

Hi Jeanie!

I was accepted last fall but declined due to family reasons. I am planning on reapplying for next fall as well. pickardwoman gave you great advice. You should definitely focus on those classes as those are the ones that give you points. The ACT is also very important. This is where you'll get most of your points from. Take that early and re-take if needed to get the most points you can. It is very competitive as they consistently have hundreds of applicants for 40-50 slots. As long as you do well on the ACT and have the majority of those classes listed above (with good grades) you'll be good! This year the cut off score was 72. I haven't completed A&P 2 or micro yet, but was accepted with an 89. Good luck! Let me know if you have any other questions! :)
