hi guys. sorry for this noob questions but im planning to apply for nclex.. can you please tell me:

1. where should i pay the necesary fees?

2. i filled up the form in their site to get my fingerprint card, but i haven't received it yet.. it's been two weeks. is it normal?

3. i want to work at cali,, which one do i need ielts or toefl?

4. i read this on their site:

"Request for Transcript form(s) completed and forwarded directly from the nursing school(s) with certified transcripts."

how to do this? where do i get a request form?

*as i believe the tor i currently hold isnt admissible as it says "forwarded directly" ive tried to ask the people at the registrar at my school but they all replied in an inaudible and incomprehensible language.

TIA. sorry for too many question, i tried to search my questions and these are the ones i cant still understand. im just really confused right now.

yeah. my whole family with my cousin and aunt were petitioned by my grand parents.

i think so too, coz the current method is taking way too long..

through my grandparents..

but i am now looking into the option of immigration through employement.. but still learning that one.

Grandparents still have the same wait with it, any family-based petition and you are looking at more than 15 years wait. And if you are over 21, then the wait would be longer for you than your parents and their siblings. You are now in a separate classification.

Have never seen anyone use the term "noob" for a newbie. Even from your country. Would recommend that you do not make mention of it when you take your English exams. Please just use the word newbie if needed.

You are looking at five years plus for a chance of a green card for the US, it is no longer a guaranteed thing. Not sure if you have a job at this point, but you may wish to consider going to another country to get experience.

you got that right, the petition were made about 12 years ago, im turning 21 thus making that null and void.:zzzzz

yeah ill work here while working on my plans, but first i need to find a job.:p

It does not matter that the word noob is popular in games or anywhere else. The issue is that it is not used in the US and most definitely not in professional circles. The issue is not it is not used in the US.

We are trying to help others here prepare for working overseas and using proper English.

Thanks for your understanding on this.

thanks for correcting me. im just used to it somehow. i will never use it again in this site or in any professional regulated environment.:nurse:

Thank you, it just gets confusing if it is only used in your country and this is an International site. I am on this forum all of the time and never had heard that expression. We always just use newbie.

The other word or phrase that is not used here is "please enlighten me" -- when I see it, right away it tells me that the person is from the Philippines. It is not something that is used here as well.

oh, ok. from now on, ill state my problem on the title with the prefix help: or question: whenever i need to ask something.

im not making a point or trying to argue just wanna tell you guys that it is really widely used word not only here in my country but worldwide.

and again, i am not trying to justify the word or the way i use it. i guess im just saying that it is a word.. :specs:

and also i do recognize the fact that it is a form of an informal language so i will refrain from using it here.:saint:

I didn't know what this word was, when I read the above description that, "It can have derogatory connotationst can have derogatory connotations", I can understand why the posting Suzanne made.

It is slang and not something that is used in the US in proper English that you would be using when charting or to prepare for an English exam that you are required to pass. And that is what we ask that is used here.

And chances are that many of those posters were originally from your country as well.

Thanks for your understanding.
