I have been a stay at home mom for 8yrs, and would like to return to the work force. What job opportunities are available for nursing grads without a license? I dont have time to do all that it would take to get recertified to take the boards, but would love to get back into the medical arena. Can anyone give me advice on what is out their for me to explore in the medical field.

I would advise you to take a refresher and take the nclex, other wise your jobs will be limited to unit secretary or CNA. Perhaps you could work as a coder.

You could work for pharmaceutical companies, electronic med record companies, maybe office work in a doctor's office.
I do think the refresher would be worth it.

Without the license you are just another baccalaureate grad. I say thak the refresher, and don't refer to yourself as a Nurse until then.
