I am currently and have been a Labor and Delivery nurse for 23 years. I am looking for an OB related job other than inpatient nursing. Any ideas?

Right off the top of my head, either an office, birth center or maybe go the childbirth education or lactation consultant route. You could also consider being a doula-not nursing but OB related.

What about a job at an OB/Gyn office?

I work Per Diem in an OB/GYN office and LOVE it. Definite change of pace but pay is much less. Or you could look into home visiting nurse, making post partum visits for at risk moms and babies. Just one more option that occurs to me.

In my area, we have a home visiting nurse program that does high risk prenatal and postnatal premies visits, its funded by the state so not sure on the pay.
