I read that any one that takes the NCLEX by the 4th or 5th time, has a less guaranty that they will pass. Does that mean that people that have taken it that many times wont pass?

Stats show that the more times people take it the higher the % is to fail. For some I believe it is because they rush to resit instead of looking at their study style and maybe look for another way to study.
I would suggest you check out the NSCBN website where you can read up on the exam and look at the stats on passing.

I have people that have contacted me after not passing more than ten times and then they have passed the exam.
Those statistics are completely dependent on what someone does to prepare and why they did not pass in the first place as a start.
And as Anna has mentioned, the reason that they do not pass is that they focus on the fastest date that they can get to sit for the exam again and never concern themselves with preparing for the new exam or what they did wrong with the others.

If you asking about yourself or someone you know that has taken NCLEX this many times. I have two words for you. Suzanne's Plan. Look at the sticky on the top of this forum and follow her instructions exactly as written.
Oh I guess we were posting at the same time. But it needs to be said again her plan works!!!!!

It does not matter if one takes it once or nine times, the criteria for passing are the same. There are many people who pass it after multiple tries. You have to be persistent and resist the urge to take studying less seriously. Each try should be a completely separate effort with full attention paid to the task at hand.
