My state board of nursing received my application for examination on May 31 (I sent it certified mail)....someone I graduated with whose last name begins with the same letter as me and who sent her application the same time as I did, has had her ATT since Thursday June 16. (We also live near eachother.) I start work July 11. We are expected to have taken the exam or to be scheduled to take it by the time we start. I just want to get it scheduled. This waiting is making me sick. I really don't want to call my BON to find out what happened, but should I? Who knows what happened to it. Should I wait or call......I know it takes a while to get it and I don't want to be a pain in the rear and maybe it's a blessing that I don't have it yet, but maybe it fell behind someone's desk or something, maybe the mailperson dropped it...:-) If my friend hadn't receieved her ATT I probably wouldn't care, but if they had it at the same time, why don't I have mine.....Thank you

Hey!!
Call your school and make sure that they have sent your transcripts to the State Board. Our school was EXTREMELY lax about sending our transcripts to the people who need to have them. I graduated May 10 and only got my diploma June 16 and my ATT only came June 13. Double check that all is in order with the school. You may have forgotten a fee or the permission slip allowing them to send your transcript to the board. Good Luck!!

I'm pretty sure you're from PA... It took me FOREVER to get my ATT too, and everyone else in my class got theirs, even with similar last names, but mine came about a week later. Did your $35 check clear yet that you sent them? Mine didn't clear for the longest time and when it finally did, I got my ATT 2 or 3 days later. I just got it last week, June 16th I think it was, and I graduated on May 21st and sent my application in on the 23rd. I just scheduled my Nclex for the 9th of July. What test center are you planning on taking yours at? Where in PA do you live? I think you said that you are going to work at Hahnaman (spelled wrong..?).

I know that it is hard to be patient when this happens. The same thing happened to me last week. Alot of my classmates received their ATT last Monday but I didn't. I like to have drove myself crazy wondering why I didn't receive mine. I even called my BON and all they could tell me was that my application and transcripts were received on May 31 just like everyone else in my class. I finally got it last Thursday and I am sceduled to take the big bad NCLEX this Thursday! So, be patient nothing is probably wrong. It should come in the next couple of days.

Also waiting in PA ... although I just graduated June 12, so I don't expect it for another couple of weeks. In PA a transcript isn't necessary unless you went to a school outside of PA.
Did get my temp permit though, and that was a nice boost.
Good luck to all. :)

I also sent my aplication to BON on April 06, and I haven't got the ATT. I have called them many times, and finally yesterday got through.
They told me they are working at the applications from March. As a foreign educated nurse, just moved to US (in Appril), it could take longer to process it.
I am getting here also " crazy", not working and living in my brother's house.
(God bless him for keeping me here!!!) So, be patient. My situation is worser here: I also have to adapt to a new country, new people, no friends here, etc.. Don't disperate !
I got my ATT today! It came via email. I heard if you call and request it via email it's quicker than my snail mail. Now, I have to decide when I will take the test!!!! Yikes!!!
Thanks for the tip...i might just have to give the folks at the BON a little buzz tomorrow....

It took my state BON a while to process mine. They had received my fingerprints on May 18th, I know it can take up to 4 weeks for them to get those back from the FBI. But I was getting anxious, wondering how soon it would be because I hadn't received my ATT yet.
I emailed them a few times. I tried calling but after being on hold for so long each time I called I just gave up. After 2 weeks they finally emailed me back. I got an email that said "WE ARE PROCESSING HUNDREDS OF YOU ALL, JUST BE PATIENT, WE WILL LET YOU KNOW." Such a friendly group of people they are :chuckle Finally a week after that email I received my ATT via email!
Hopefully your state BON is more friendly and helpful than mine was! Good luck!
The FBI??? I know we have to have our fingerprints taken at our testing centers, but I didn't realize that the FBI was involved.... :rotfl:
I found that mildly amusing.....the FBI...I didn't realize...
I think it's different for each state, but yeah after I sent in my application, the BON sent me a fingerprint card. I had to go down to the police station and get my fingerprints done, then send that to the BON, they send it off to the FBI.
So it's good to know I was cleared by the FBI
