2017 NMC UK Decision Letter

Published

Hi Guys,

I found an old thread from 2016 but wanted to start anew so we don't have to filter through 20+ pages. I submitted my application in June and it was placed on the queue on June 21. I am still anxiously waiting for my decision letter. My 40 working days is on the 16 August. Is there anyone else that submitted this at about the same time as me that's waiting to hear back?

Also - anyone have issues with clinical practice hours in university from the US? I was short by 25 hospital hours, but I did 187 hours volunteering at a hospital while I was in school. They said to include that in my transcript of training, that it should be ok but it would still need to be assessed like everything else, which leads me to believe it should be fine, albeit still so terrified! I have my family and my boyfriend waiting on me to get there and I can't wait any longer!!

Pls is it possible to get a job by applying directly without using an agency?

Whats the pay pre and post registration?

Pls what was the interview like..likely questions being asked?

hi! what's your trust and local agency?

I'm under Omanfil and bound for King's College. They usually assign COS after a week upon receiving the DL.

Hi guys already received my DL!

I have some questions about the COS

1. How to apply for it?

2. Time frame when I would receive my COS

Thanks guys!

You don't apply for your COS. Your employer/spomsor will. It really depends on your sponsor. King's college usually assigns a week after we receive our DLs. Some trusts go on for about a few weeks or so.

hello everyone!

I just want to ask if you know someone like my case. I am Registered Nurse in the Philippines and worked for 2 years and 7 months (from November 2010 to July 2013). Currently I worked here in Singapore as an Enrolled Nurse since August 2013. Would I still be eligible to register in the NMC as a nurse? I would greatly appreciate your response.

Has anyone submitted 2 registration verification forms ?

After 30 calendar day waiting for the decision letter, I have phoned the NMC to track my application, and they found that my registration forms were with the same barcords, causing a delay in assessment. Now, they said they are helping me to upload another correct plain form with the right bar cord. This is REALLY frustrating as there was no communication ever in the past month, so I thought there was no problem at all!! Anyway, it is a lesson learned.

Has anyone had same problem as mine before? How long did it take to get your decision letter?

hello @shanaliu ! We have the same problem. I submitted 2 registration verification forms with the same barcodes (PRC & DHA). What did you do? Any updates? Thank you.

I submitted PRC and HAAD forms, 2 separate barcoded forms, there's an option for additional registration verification forms if you will submit more than 1 registration certificate. If you mistakenly used the same forms, you have to phone NMC and they will rectify it for you. You won't have to send a new form.

Thank you @jacquiedoria ! I have another question, do we need to get HAAD/DHA good standing certificate? Thank you!

HAAD requires a good standing certificate, license copy before they will fill out your Registration Authority Verification Form. When I uploaded my HAAD registration certificate, I intentionally included my good standing certificate since I already have one. NMC did not ask any supporting requirements for my HAAD license. They however, asked for a supporting requirement from PRC - the board certificate.

I got my DL smoothly - in about 39 calendar days. On my 37th day, I got an email asking for the board certificate and gap explanation. Both worked out and my Decision Letter came through.

Hi! just want to share my experience with DHA. Im no longer in Dubai so a friend of mine went to DHA. He just brought a copy of my passport (old and new), copy of my license ID, and the RAV form. When he arrived in DHA, he was given a priority number and was called after few minutes. He just handed over the documents he brought then he was asked to pay for around 520AED (very expensive!!!). Then, after 7 working days, he went back in DHA and claimed my documents in a sealed envelop. We never knew what were the papers inside or if my good standing certificate was among the documents inside, but so far i was not asked to request my good standing certificate. As of the moment, I am still waiting for my DL and i'm currently at my 30th calendar day of waiting. I hope this helps.

Goodluck!

The HAAD good standing is 100aed. The Verification is free - you just send it through enail and they will print and fill out the form for you. They will let you know via email when the document is ready for pick, usually in 5 working days. I picked up my form, had me check of it's complete and I saw they attached a copy of the good standing certificate. After I checked it, they sealed it for me and the officer signed the flap of the envelope. Then I posted it to NMC.

That's great! At least, in that way you knew what were the documents you sent. Maybe they have different policy and also, maybe because I can't come to claim my documents myself, hence, they have to seal it right away. Anyway, are you still in UAE? Do you have an agency and trust?
