2017 NMC UK Decision Letter

Published

Hi Guys,

I found an old thread from 2016 but wanted to start anew so we don't have to filter through 20+ pages. I submitted my application in June and it was placed on the queue on June 21. I am still anxiously waiting for my decision letter. My 40 working days is on the 16 August. Is there anyone else that submitted this at about the same time as me that's waiting to hear back?

Also - anyone have issues with clinical practice hours in university from the US? I was short by 25 hospital hours, but I did 187 hours volunteering at a hospital while I was in school. They said to include that in my transcript of training, that it should be ok but it would still need to be assessed like everything else, which leads me to believe it should be fine, albeit still so terrified! I have my family and my boyfriend waiting on me to get there and I can't wait any longer!!

Hi! I just received my DL today. Thank you God!

Just want to share my timeline since this page helped me a lot during my application process.

Dec 2017 - passed OET

Mar 2018 - passed CBT

May 29, 2018 - NMC received my docs from DHL

May 30, 2018 - NMC tagged all my docs as received (queue date)

July 5, 2018 - I received my DL :) after 36 calendar days.

It took a long time for me to furnish my documents since I am in Bahrain and most of my papers came from the Philippines.

Pray and think positive! God bless us all!

Hi everyone!

So when your forms were finally delivered, did you email NMC after a few days to check your status or you just kept on checking your portal until such time it was updated that you were in the assessment queue already? Mine was delivered on June 28 and up to this day my portal hasn't been update yet. I'm not quiet sure if they will post or send you an email if they have indeed received your complete forms. If anyone could share their experience while waiting for their DL, it would be highly appreciated :)

As per my experience, my documents were sent separately and arrived 3 days apart. The day that my remaining document was received I immediately called them and asked if when will my documents appear in the portal. They said it will take up to 15 days to upload it in the portal, but to my surprise, all of my docs were uploaded the next day. For me, it is better to call them and follow up just to make sure that your documents are intact and ready to be uploded. Sometimes, it can also help when you pretend that you haven't check that portal and you want a direct update over the phone about your application.

Thank you for sharing this and for the advice. I actually received an email from an agent a few hours ago that I'm on the assessment queue as July 2 but when I checked my portal, it wasn't updated yet. So yeah, I should better check on them then. :)

Hi, i would like to ask in which specific address did you send those additional documents being asked by your assigned assessor?? Do you named it after your assessor or just a usual named to nmc and their address?? Thank you in advance for those who will answer my query.

Has anyone complained to the NMc about their ambiguous and unclear assessment process?

For example, they blamed the duplicate documents created by me causing the delay of assessment.however, I think it's they failed to give explicit explaination about the rules of their barcorded documents at the beginning, NO communication, NO information about when you will be placed on the queue unless you contact them AS WELL..

HOW CAN THIS DELAY become our fault.

I AM QUITE FED UP.

I think the more people complain to them, we might get a chance to improve their quality of registration application process .

I just emailed them to my assessor.

In fairness to them, the portal actually tells you to download separate barcoded forms. I also failed to double check my paperwork. But I caught it early enough that I proactively asked them about it and was rectified early on.

However, I agree with you re: entry to the assessment queue. Again I had to ask them again when I entered or will enter the queue.

We have to understand that they are bombarded by applicants not only from one country.
