2017 NMC UK Decision Letter

Published

Hi Guys,

I found an old thread from 2016 but wanted to start anew so we don't have to filter through 20+ pages. I submitted my application in June and it was placed on the queue on June 21. I am still anxiously waiting for my decision letter. My 40 working days is on the 16 August. Is there anyone else that submitted this at about the same time as me that's waiting to hear back?

Also - anyone have issues with clinical practice hours in university from the US? I was short by 25 hospital hours, but I did 187 hours volunteering at a hospital while I was in school. They said to include that in my transcript of training, that it should be ok but it would still need to be assessed like everything else, which leads me to believe it should be fine, albeit still so terrified! I have my family and my boyfriend waiting on me to get there and I can't wait any longer!!

hi! I just want to ask how will my portal look like if NMC already received my documents? I mean, will they put it "documents received".? thank you in advance!

"this document is received" will appear next to the download link of your barcoded form.

If all of your documents have been received, then you are already on the queue.

Hello there,

All of my documents were received last June 11, 2018.

I hope the DL will come sooner.

P.S. my friend passed all her documents last June 5 and got her DL last June 20 which is pretty fast. I do not know the reason why it was assessed so early.

Pls is it possible to get a job by applying directly without using an agency?

Whats the pay pre and post registration?

Pls what was the interview like..likely questions being asked?

I would imagine it would be relatively easy to find a job without an agency as some trusts have open recruitment days. In terms of the money I've put oht for the registration, I have only paid CBT and assessment fee so far (fees are on the NMC site.) I might book OSCE in Dec 2018 or May 2019. Aside from that I don't really have much experience.
