2017 NMC UK Decision Letter

Published

Hi Guys,

I found an old thread from 2016 but wanted to start anew so we don't have to filter through 20+ pages. I submitted my application in June and it was placed on the queue on June 21. I am still anxiously waiting for my decision letter. My 40 working days is on the 16 August. Is there anyone else that submitted this at about the same time as me that's waiting to hear back?

Also - anyone have issues with clinical practice hours in university from the US? I was short by 25 hospital hours, but I did 187 hours volunteering at a hospital while I was in school. They said to include that in my transcript of training, that it should be ok but it would still need to be assessed like everything else, which leads me to believe it should be fine, albeit still so terrified! I have my family and my boyfriend waiting on me to get there and I can't wait any longer!!

Thanks. let's just hope for the best.

Yip! All the best! God bless :)

I am in the assessment stage, awaiting my decision letter. Im yet to get a sponsor as im not under any agency yet.

Please i would like to ask you some questions. I understand you are bound for watford. If i may ask, 1.what were the interview questions like? Any major tips to pass it

2.How long did it take to get your CoS?

3 will they prepare you for the nmc OSCE?

4.Will they pay for the OSCE?

5.What is the proposed salary like? Both as pre and post registration.

6. And how many years is the contract?

1. with the interview questions, I guess it would mainly depends with the trust where you will be applying. my agency provided me with materials to study but it was specific with the trust i was applying for. Generally, the questions were about common nursing procedures such as giving meds and communications skills. Some questions were personal, such as my reason for choosing to work in UK and the like.

2. Im still waiting for my DL, hence, my COS is still out of picture. My agency told me that my trust will process my cos once I have my DL.

3. My trust will pay for my OSCE.

4. yes, they will prepare me for OSCE.

5. About the salary, it is confidential and i guess it depends which area in england you will be hired. As for me, Im still within London so my salary is within the bracket of band 3 HCA pre registration and band 5 ukrn post registration. You can search about the different bands online to understand it thoroughly.

6. This information is also confidential.

I hope I answered your questions. You can also check in NHS jobs website if you want to have an idea about the salary and terms. All the best!

hi i was placed in queue on June 13. im still waiting for a feedback from nmc. i already called them last week because my dubai police clearance is just valid until next week, and they confirmed that it will still be valid for the assessment . However, they told me that i still have to wait for some time about my decision letter since it will take 30 to 60 days for the assessment. Im positive and hopeful our DL will be released this week hehehe

I am also hoping for that. Good luck to us!

Hi! I was placed in queue on June 13 as well. I really do hope they already have their decision this week. :)

Anyone here already preparing for OSCE? I have a couple of Royal Marsden 9th/student edition paperback books on-hand. :)
