2017 NMC UK Decision Letter

Published

Hi Guys,

I found an old thread from 2016 but wanted to start anew so we don't have to filter through 20+ pages. I submitted my application in June and it was placed on the queue on June 21. I am still anxiously waiting for my decision letter. My 40 working days is on the 16 August. Is there anyone else that submitted this at about the same time as me that's waiting to hear back?

Also - anyone have issues with clinical practice hours in university from the US? I was short by 25 hospital hours, but I did 187 hours volunteering at a hospital while I was in school. They said to include that in my transcript of training, that it should be ok but it would still need to be assessed like everything else, which leads me to believe it should be fine, albeit still so terrified! I have my family and my boyfriend waiting on me to get there and I can't wait any longer!!

Congratulations to those who receive their DL already. I've been placed on queue last May 22. Hope to receive a feedback from them before this month ends!

My timeline:

Feb 11 - took OET

March 5 - passed OET

March 24 - took ielts ukvi (academic)

April 6 - passed ielts ukvi

April 23 - Passed CBT

May 22 - all docs received by the nmc

You should take the ielts ukvi academic :) you only need to have an OBS score of 5. Atleast that's what my employer told me.

-this is in response to burning fire's question.

Hi! I was asked by NMC to clarify my gap in employment from the day of my graduation up to the 1st day of my first job. It said to do so via a self declaration or CV. If I include it in my CV, how should i state the my gap was because of reviewing for the board exam and actually taking the exam and waiting for the results? On the other hand, if i write through a self-declaration, what should be the format?

Hope someone could help. Thank you

You should just state the reason why there was a gap in your employment. Include specific dates. They just have to know what have you done during those times. I was asked the same and i just put it at the end of my CV.

And also, it was timely that my agency sent me a work gap form before the NMC even asked me so I uploaded it as well aside from stating my work gap in my CV.

You should hear from them within 4-6 weeks after you're put on queue. Otherwise, you should call them.

Thanks! Yeah I've been calling them before to clarify some stuff about my account (the response was faster than waiting for a feedback via email). I plan to ring them again to get an update if I still don't hear from them after 6 weeks. :)

hello,

I'm new here. Anyone bound for UCLH under Omanfil? :)

Hi! Injust want to share my timeline:

Feb 24- IELTS UKVI acad

March 9- IELTS Passed

May 3- CBT exam passed

June 11- Received all documents

June 13- Queue for assessment

wanna share my experience about before I was placed in queue. After DHL updated that my documents were all received in NMC, I immediately called Nmc to ask when will the documents be uploaded. They told me to wait for 10-15 days. However, the next day, all my documents are already in their portal, but my license in Dubai was tagged for re submission. I called them once again to clarify and they told me that they will coordinate with Dubai Health Authority and will give me a feedback after 48 hours. I was very happy yesterday when I checked my account and found that they already updated it that I no longer need to resubmit my DHA papers. Today is the due of 48 hours so despite seeing the update online I still called them to confirm if there is still a problem with my DHA license and if i'm already in queue. Fortunately, I was told that I'm already in queue since yesterday and can call again after 4 weeks to update. Goodluck to all of us!
