2017 NMC UK Decision Letter

Published

Hi Guys,

I found an old thread from 2016 but wanted to start anew so we don't have to filter through 20+ pages. I submitted my application in June and it was placed on the queue on June 21. I am still anxiously waiting for my decision letter. My 40 working days is on the 16 August. Is there anyone else that submitted this at about the same time as me that's waiting to hear back?

Also - anyone have issues with clinical practice hours in university from the US? I was short by 25 hospital hours, but I did 187 hours volunteering at a hospital while I was in school. They said to include that in my transcript of training, that it should be ok but it would still need to be assessed like everything else, which leads me to believe it should be fine, albeit still so terrified! I have my family and my boyfriend waiting on me to get there and I can't wait any longer!!

You should just state the reason why there was a gap in your employment. Include specific dates. They just have to know what have you done during those times. I was asked the same and i just put it at the end of my CV.

And also, it was timely that my agency sent me a work gap form before the NMC even asked me so I uploaded it as well aside from stating my work gap in my CV.

What was the format of your work gap form? Is it possible to ask for a sample if you don't mind? I am not really sure how to go about it and i do not want to commit any error that could further cause any more delay in my application. Thank you very much

What's your email? I can send a sample that I've used during the NMC assessment.

Hi! Anyone here who applied for CoS last June 5th and received theirs already?

@Lek215... Still waiting, no update from employer

Hi, I have not heard from my agency or employer yet. Hope they will update soon.

@Samsco @rockey87 Me too! Haven't received mine as well. I thought the Home office releases sponsorships every 11th of the month. My agency has been asking for follow-up documents such as CBT pass confirmation email and the Home Office Form. I really hope it'll be released soon. Do you guys already have deployment dates?

Yes, I received mine last June 19th.

Hi, the home office meet on 11th of every month to allocate COS numbers for all the employers across UK, but the COS number will be made available after 5 working days, for the employer to assign it for the candidates. my agency told that the start date of my employment is 3rd August.
