Anybody here who took the Pearsons Vue NMC exam? How was it? TY!
Hi... Can anyone help me? I just cleared CBT and I'm about to start my assesment stage. I haven't worked for the past one year. In fact I was struggling to get through my IELTS. I have more than 2 years experience as a registered nurse in my country. Will this gap cause a problem? How can I give NMC my explanations? Please help me...
@rayofhope
Haven't been able to work for the past one year would not be a problem for you. What the NMC requires is just a 12 months post-registration experience. It does not really matter for how long you have already completed this qualification. I think the NMC won't really require you to explain the gap rather it would be your employer to whom you really owe a reason for not being able to work for the past year. But generally, it is not at all an issue.
hi can somebody help me out pls with the process , is there any ruling or procedure now in applying for Uk , Im confuse because i read need ielts academic and have a band score all 7 and in four areas , but now what is this UKVI ielts , which one to do first , the academic Ielts or this UKVI ielts , can someone help me out plsssssssssssssss
The UK Visas and Immigration or the UKVI has recently amended the language proficiency requirement for those who plan to go to UK. So if you wish to apply to become a UK RN, you need to take the new IELTS UKVI. As per NMC requirement, you still need to take the academic version of the exam and get a band score of at least 7 in all subtests. The exam is basically the same (content, difficulty, scoring), there will be just some revisions in the test report form. So again, if you aim for UK employment, take the IELTS UKVI Academic, forget about the regular IELTS for it will no longer be accepted in UK. But for those who have taken and passed the IELTS before April 6, 2015, you will not be covered in this new policy. Your result is still good as it is valid.
I hope this would be of help to you and to those who have the same concerns. But should you wish, you can approach any IELTS preparation centers nearest to you and inquire about this matter, or better ask your agency (if you have one) on what exam would they recommend for you to take.
Thank you for the reply , but does anyone knows what is the score needed for this UKVI academic . I had taken the exam for REGULAR ielts ACADEMIC last March 28 2015, here in singapore because im working here and had the results of the following , L- 6, W- 6.5, R-7, S-7 , so primarily i need to do it again to get all the band score needed to apply for the NMC , because you cant registered in the NMC with out this IELTS band score ALL 7 , this is the first step right to register , but my confusion is , i need to take still the REGULAR ielts academic , then same as well need to take the UKVI academic , so i need to take both of this IELTS exam ?
Hello,
I took my CBT today and passed,fortunately :) However, I am having a dilemma on what is the next step? I logged in on to my NMC account but then it says there that CBT is still 'In Progress' (no input required). What does this means? Hope someone good help me with this matter. Thanks!
I think their website got some serious problem. I have paid my registration last week but it doesn't reflect on my NMC account. I called them so many times but still no action was taken. I feel really hopeless right now and began to be depressed because I really want to leave Saudi sooner.
Hi guys. :) I've been reading this thread and I am glad to know that everybody here is under the new scheme. :)I also recently passed the nmc-cbt and was advised to pay the registration fee of £140 as the next step. The thing is, I don't know where to make the payment. I've looked on my nmc account but can't find it. I've also searched in online payments but they are requiring PRN, which I don't have. I only got candidate ID. Hehe. Can anyone help me? Thanks a lot in advance!
Hi, I am having trouble to what will I do next after I passed the CBT. Did the NMC emailed you and advised you to pay the assessment fee? Or was the advise appeared on your NMC account? Hope you can help me this matter 😊
