Anybody here who took the Pearsons Vue NMC exam? How was it? TY!
NMC LOGIN LOCKED- Hi guyz, may I have your advice regarding my concern? I entered my password wrongly 3x before I have clicked the "forgot password" to have it reset. After that, I tried to log in but now it says that my "ACCOUNT NOT YET AUTHORISED". I called the NMC and the operator said that I should email the NMC, which I did earlier as well as their IT Support. What concerns me is that they would be able to reply up to 10 working days? Do you have other advice for me to take so that I can have it UNLOCKED the soonest?
Thank you for your kind responses.
This actually happened to me twice. The first time, it took them 5 days to inform me that my account is already accessible. The second time was longer, 24 working days. I think this was the time they were fixing something/having difficulties in the NMC portal or something. I can't really remember.
Sadly, you can't do anything but wait. It's really up to them but they do try to reply within 10 working days. From my experience, the longest time they replied, other than the 24 days but they had issues that time, was 10 days.

TO THOSE ALREADY IN THE UK: Can you guys share your visa appointment stories? What are the chances of getting denied?
I just submitted all my original and copies of my documents to the staff after writing them all down on the form provided, paid for the priority (P9000+) then went inside the room for biometrics.
26/01 Visa appearance
31/01 Got my visa decision via email, to be collected by my recruitment agency
I hope you'll receive your decision soon. :)
another thing, my nso birth certificate is not clear. some letters are blurry. is it fine to upload this document? or do i have to get my birth cert at the local civil registry and upload both documents? thank you
What I did is that I have uploaded both on my portal. Unfortunately, I lost my civil registry birth cert so I had to provide a cert of loss together with the new civil registry birth cert to the NMC staff at Northampton during my ID check for OSCE. :)
Just a question po, I'll be applying for Colchester NHS, do NMC require that I do have a current employer while an application is ongoing?TIA!
This document doesn't say anything about being currently employed. All it says is the following "At the time of the application, the applicant must have practised as a registered nurse or
midwife for at least 12 months (full time or the part-time equivalent) after qualifying. This
post-registration experience must be relevant to the field of practice the applicant is
applying for. Any practice that is not covered by registration cannot be considered for
the requirement of 12-month post-registration experience."
:)
Hi fissure! Really? Can you send me the link where it was written about the new ruling. Thanks. Currently studying for osce.
I'm not sure if anyone has replied to you yet (and I'm not even sure if I am allowed to quote directly from another site) but to answer your question, according to this page
"Taking the test of competence
For applications started before 6 April 2017:
Applicants can sit both parts of the test of competence (CBT and OSCE) twice as part of one application.
If the applicant is unsuccessful after their permitted attempts, their application will close. They will be required to submit a new application but will not be able to sit the OSCE again for a minimum of six months.
This period should provide any applicant with adequate time to address any shortfalls identified and carry out the appropriate revision or training.
For applications started after 6 April 2017:
CBT
Applicants can sit the first part of the test of competence (the CBT) twice as part of one application.
If an applicant is unsuccessful at their first CBT they must wait a minimum of 28 working days before they can sit the CBT again.
If an applicant is unsuccessful after their second CBT, their application will close. They will be required to wait six months before submitting a new eligibility application to take the test again.
OSCE
Applicants may sit the second part of the test of competence, the OSCE, up to three times as part of one application.
If an applicant is unsuccessful at their first OSCE, they must wait a minimum of 10 working days before they can take the examination again.
If an applicant is unsuccessful at their second OSCE, they must wait a minimum of three months from the date of their second attempt before they can take the OSCE for the third time.
If the applicant is unsuccessful after their permitted attempts, their application will close. They will be required to submit a new application but will not be able to sit the OSCE again for a minimum of six months."
