NMC Test Online

Anybody here who took the Pearsons Vue NMC exam? How was it? TY!

Hello!

Have any of you tried to have your portal reopened? Would you mind sharing your experience?

There was something wrong with the NMC website this morning. I checked that the details for my references were OK before clicking Submit, but after I did, the details weren't updated! I had just e-mailed IT support to reopen my portal.

I had an error too, i mistakenly entered a wrong nationality. I called and sent an email to NMC. They cannot re open the portal. I sent an email again stating the mistake with all the info needed like candidate number and all, fortunately i got a feedback that they will just attach my email to my file so the assessor can consider it. After 39working days i got the much awaited DL. í ¾í´—

Hello guys! I just have a question for those candidates who already received their COS. I am a bit confused as to why my COS is different from the others. The section where it asks about "does the migrant need to leave and re-enter the UK during the period of approval" my employer entered "Y" which is totally different from other COS that I saw.

Is there anyone here who has the same issue or idea about the difference between the "Y" and "N"

options?

Good! So they are still actively giving out DL's. I was still assuming they were on a hiatus. I actually just hit the "40 business day mark" on my waiting period. I'm not in any great rush, so I sort of forget that I'm still waiting sometimes... I am currently reviewing for the OSCE. If anyone else is reviewing, maybe we can both be of help to the other.... PM me.

Hi I don't think there is anything wrong with that. You are allowed to leave and enter anytime you like. So your employer saying Y is very fine. Besides it doesn't matter what is there, the most important thing is that you have a COS number. Thanks

Hi everyone,

I recently received a work contract in the UK and I'm currently about to begin studying for the NMC CBT. I read about the Royal Marsden book, did you guys read all of it? Also, any guidance on how to read the blueprint? It all looks like gibberish to me! Hearing the pass/fail rate is really making me nervous, I'd love to pass on the first try (like everyone else, I'm sure!)

Hello Everyone! Yesterday was my "40 business day" waiting for my DL, so today I received feedback! I have to resubmit one of my license verification forms. One of the states that I am licensed under sent the NMC a "photocopy" of the NMC barcoded form, not the original. I am going to have to call back and have them send the original... (they had one job to do :banghead:)

Dear all, just received my Decision Letter. Here is my timeline:

2016

26/12 - Documents sent by post

2017

02/01 - Documents arrived in London

16/01 - In the assessment queue - documents visible in the portal

14/03 - Further information required (the referee who signed my letter 2 was not a nurse)

19/03 - Application resubmitted

28/03 - New document visible in the portal

Here I had some conflictant information when calling the NMC - some attendants said I would be back to the end of the queue, others said it would be faster - 3 or 4 weeks

27/04/2016 - Decision letter

102 calendar days, 72 working days

Now, to the final challange: the OSCE!

My application took longer than the ones that I see related here. I have been working for 20 years as a nurse in my country, so perhaps the process was more complicated to be assessed. On the bright side, the NMC attendants were all kind and patient when giving me information.

I wish everyone has every success with their applications.

Wow it took more than a month for your resubmitted document to appear on the portal. :(
