I'll quote admin Silverdragon102's post from the other topic to answer your question.

As per the NMC website

Practice requirements

At the time of the application, the applicant must have practised as a registered

nurse or midwife for at least 12 months (full time or the part-time equivalent) after qualifying. This post-registration experience must be relevant to the field of practice the applicant is applying for. Any practice that is not covered by registration cannot be considered for the requirement of 12-months post-registration experience.

If the applicant has been qualified for longer than this, they must have also practised for at least 450 hours in the previous three years. We define 'practising' as working in some capacity by virtue of their registration as a nurse or midwife. Practice can include administrative, supervisory, teaching, research and managerial roles as well as providing direct patient care. This can also include volunteer work as long as any practice is registered. If the applicant has not undertaken any duties as a registered nurse or midwife in the three years prior to making their application, they should contact us to discuss available options.

If the applicant is a midwife but has not practised midwifery in the five years prior to their application, they must do a return to midwifery practice course in their home country before they can apply to register with us.

For those who have practiced in KSA and applied for NMC registration, what are the attachments that you included when you asked the SCFHS to fill-up the verification form? I'm thinking that I need to send the form together with a photocopy of my Saudi License, Certificate of Good Standing, and Professional Accreditation Form (in Arabic). Am I on the right track? or the Certificate of Good Standing is enough?

With regards to the Professional Accreditation form, do I need to have it translated to English?

I hope anyone who was/is on the same boat as me can PM me for guidance. Thank you!

Another thing, I received my saudi council license more than 6 months from when I started my employment in the hospital. Do i still need to pass the Declaration of Registration Restrictions form?

Hey guys how long did you wait for your documents to be reflected in your nmc account? or should i contact them to ask if they already received my docs?

Check your portal.. it says "document received" beside the form you downloaded. :)

I had the same situation but from another country.. I called the NMC to ask regarding that from and was advised to just include it when sending the Registration Verification Form. :)

Thank you very much for your response. Its a huge relief for me. :)

Hi...better to send all just to avoid any delays....attach your saudi id, accreditation cert. And good standing

For the accreditation, yup, have it officially translated in English, with the declaration of the translating company that the document being translated conveys the full meaning accurately..

I finished all of those and received my DL since august...

Good luck!

Hi Mich567715

I'm still waiting for my DL. I resubmitted police clearances last Thursday only so hopefully it won't be too long anymore, God willing.

Have you taken the OSCE already since you have your DL since August? For the meantime while waiting for the DL, I'm just going through some recommended books in preparation for the OSCE.

Very good luck in everything.

Hi! Congrats for getting your DL. Im currently on the assessment phase, and working on getting my declaration of good health. Re: this, may I ask if it can be signed by our infirmary doctor? Im currently working at Philippine Heart Center. :)

My agency sent me a guideline regarding this.. But they say the doctor should neither be someone who has employed me or related to me.. But the document from nmc dictates that it can be any general practitioner

@jocasanova

its good to know that NMC is assessing papers faster than 70 days. Congrats on your DL!!

May I ask, can the declaration of good health be filled out by an infirmary doctor, who clears me up yearly for fit to work? Im currently working in Philippine Heart Center :) would his trodat stamp be sufficient, or the forms should be sealed by the hospital seal as well. That's the only form I'm lacking, thanks in advance for everyones help. :)

Specializes in Renal/Hemodialysis.

I am not aware of any guideline that says that a former employer can't accomplish the health declaration. This got me worried as I had mine filled out by my former employer. I'm sorry if I wasn't able to answer your query. I'll let you know in a few days' time since I feel that the verdict for my papers will come out next week. I hope you have your answers by that time.
