Anybody here who took the Pearsons Vue NMC exam? How was it? TY!

Hi thesportyscribe! Yes, I received my DL last May and I waited for about 1 month for it. I have been waiting for the COS since this month. I got the job on June and already had my DL, so right after my appointment, I complied with all the requirements for deployment.

Are you for KCH at Omanfil too?

Feel free to contact me at melnic05[at]gmail.com :)

I am from KCH under Omanfil too! Let's talk in Viber 09177237268 :)

They don't do that.

It will take them 10-15 days to scan your documents. So there is nothing to worry. You will notice the "has been received" note on the side of the download icon of the docs once they have scanned it. Also, they don't just throw documents unless your application is expired.

I just took the NMC RN1 exam for the first time today and PASSED! YAY I'm so pumped. I just used the materials the person from Continental Travel Nurse sent me via email and also bought the Royal Marsden Manual of Clinical Nurisng on amazon for about $45.

Congratulations!!! I'm taking the test in a couple days and would very much appreciate all the resources I can get, would you be okay with forwarding me the materials you used? [email protected] :)

thank you so much! :)

can you share the materials with me? [email protected] thanks bunch and congrats!

10-15 days for both the online and postal submission? I'm quite worried because the telephone number written by my referees are incomplete. They did not write the area code and country code in their contact numbers like one of the subscribers in this thread posted/ instructed. I'm quite anxious if such lacking detail will cause my application to be delayed or if I will be asked to submit a new properly filled referral docs. -_- hope this won't be the case.

For those who will take CBT, I think you can download a free pdf of the royal marsden online. I was able to DL the one with instructions for nursing procedures. I didn't know before that there is a student version of the handbook which I've heard is a question and answer handbook. Try doing so if you want to avoid spending some cash. Hehehehe.

anyone from kch-omanfil that received a call from omanfil and was told that deployment date has been moved from august to october? we might just need to take the ukvi ielts then. 😑

Online application will just be a portal for them to download the documents which you have uploaded. They will download it on their side and place it on your application. Those documents that we have to send by post (reference, prc, school and health declaration), they will literally scan it and add it on your application. Once they received all your documents, they will put it on the assessment queue or the waiting game lol. Then they will give their decision base on what you have submitted. Unfortunately, if you send those docs on different dates you have to wait for 10-15 days per set of docs that they receive to scan it and put the has been received note on your online application. I believe that they only use one scanner in their office that's why it will take that long lol. Obviously, there are so many applicants that's why.

With your concern about the contact numbers, my personal advice is download the form again and ask your reference person to fill it in then contact the NMC and explain your situation then if they said they will accept it, then send it. Make it clear to the person that you are going to speak to to discard the wrong form and make sure they have the right one.

While waiting, just enjoy every moment while you are in your own country. Relax, pray and pamper yourself. Just chill and don't worry as you are not the only one waiting. There are so many of us here lol. Be positive. :):):)

I have heard that NMC doesn't have have that big of an office for a body that regulates one of the most important professions of UK health care, and takes care of international registrations from start to finish. That explains the long-ish waiting time.
