So, I decided to start this thread so we can discuss our U.K. NMC decision letter stories as well as CoS and Tier 2 visa application in the year 2019. Especially with all the new updates and changes with the NMC for international registration and Brexit.

I joined the queue on the 20th of February and still waiting for my DL. I know it is still early. But these days, people have been testifying to getting it in less than 15 working days. I am really anxious. Anyone submitted around the time, and still waiting for their DL as well?

Really? Her application took 51 days because of that. That’s quite odd. Because my Saudi police clearance was expired for over a year when I submitted it. The delay was most probably because of the RAV misplaced by the NMC

I did not follow up at all. I was just surprised to see that I already received the DL. My plan was to follow up in case my the response took longer than 30 days.

That's what they told us when we called NMC, missig RAV and Expired police clearance. Anyway it all turned out well and we're already here in ChelWest

18 calendar days. I think that makes it 14 working days? I entered the queue on February 4, 2019. I received the DL on February 22. Before submitting my application I kept calling NMC to update my nmc portal since they haven't acknowledged the receipt of my PRC RAV. The moment I saw the word "received", I was sure they got everything they needed so I submitted and kept my toes and fingers crossed.

This was the time where most applicants receive their DLs earlier than expected. I know some who got theirs after 10days, even 5days which was really surprising. But anyway, at the end of the day, it’s the DL that matters no matter how long it takes. It’s just waiting game could be really stressful!

Personally, I will always choose a hospital setting, the acute setting of hospital will give you opportunities to learn new things no matter how long you’ve been in this career. Care homes tend to be “long term care” settings and could be monotonous and boring when you get used to the routine.

But then again, this whole thing depends on you

Yes, I was told care homes could be boring especially if you do not have a passion for it, but I felt I could work for care homes and do extra shifts at NHS so I don't lose my nursing skills and get bored quickly

Hmmmmm. Thanks for this. Made a lot of research but I was not contended. Needed the opinion of fellow nurses. Apart from the stress at NHS, I found at that junior nurses suffer a whole lot of bullying, nurses are understaffed, overworked and underpaid and are not appreciated by managers and even patients. I was almost discouraged...

Please what's PRC and RAV? I just started submitting my documents

Oh sorry. I just realised it's the abbreviation for registration authority verification and post registration certificate. Right?

Not dl related, i just wanna ask how long does it take to get the visa once you got your cert of sponsorship?

Aside from the cert, what other documents do they need for the visa processing?

Did you apply thru a recruitment agency? If so, they will give you a list of documents you will need.

Hi everyone, I am in the process of submitting my documents, my nursing council submitted my documents 2 weeks ago but it doesn't reflect on my nmc portal. They also can't provide a tracking number for me. I am still waiting for my nursing school of training to send my transcript. My question is that should I wait for all my documents to be sent before calling nmc? Did others see their document update before all were sent. Thanks

Yes, if you sent some documents ahead of time, they should have reflected on your portal as early as the day it was received by the NMC according to your tracking.
