  1. I understand it could be pretty frustrating. Mine came after 34 days in August. The only thing you can do is e-mail and call them constantly, to make sure that your application is still on queue.
  2. In my experience, it took three days for my visa fees to be paid and my appointment scheduled. You just need patience but it's alright if you keep asking your agency for any update.
  3. I applied for a care home. I guess so. It is even possible to be deployed while waiting for DL. Really depends on your employer/agency.
  4. This does not have anything to do with the DL but my location's advert ended last Oct 16 and I am expecting my COS to be released already. In fact, others' COS were released 2 days after their advert end. Is there anyone here patiently (or not so patiently) waiting for their COS to proceed with the application? I was told that my start date is Dec 4th but I need proof of that.
  5. What do you mean "resume"? Is this about the application? It depends on the pace of your employer/agency. Let's see, you might be receiving your DL around Oct 16th, given that your employer has a ready COS, they might release it immediately and possible start date would be December so I guess it's possible. But if you need to wait for your COS, then I guess it's not. In my case, I got my DL August 30th, underwent medical exams September 13th and had to wait for the COS until October 16. But I'm also targeting December to be deployed.
  6. Have you heard anything from your agency? I have sent them text messages and an e-mail but no response yet again. If only they have not paid for my exams, I would have transferred to another agency a long time ago. ?
  7. Thank you! Yes, they say the longer you wait for something, the more success you will reap out of it. I'm just hoping for the best, really. Trying to enjoy my free time and all.
  8. Hi everyone! I hope you all get your DLs soon. If it's already been exactly a month after your queue date, try to check your e-mails as much as you can so you could immediately see if there is feedback and you could settle them as soon as you can. Also, try to know the local time in the UK. NMC's business hours is from 8:00 to 17:45. So if it's not around that time anymore or if it's a weekend, then for sure, you won't be hearing anything from them. Got my DL in exactly 34 days. Now, I guess I have more waiting to do. I'm still waiting for when my employer will start processing my Certificate of Sponsorship. I have already collected the requirements for visa. And I just want to rant how I seem to question my agency at this point. They've been helpful to me financially but lately, they have not been answering my queries and I really have no idea why they required so many things for the visa when some of them are actually not needed based on those who have already processed the visa. It's taking a toll on me and I might transfer to another agency in the future.
  9. I think it depends on one's employer. My agency also says that it might take about a month for our COS to be available. Because this is sort of like an agreement between the government and the employer. And some employers only request for COS once everything else is cleared such as medical tests and a decision letter. Yes. Because I was not able to send my official transcript. So I had my training school email it them. So I guess my DL got delayed by one day. And no COS yet, since my agency requires me to clear the medical tests first, then that's the time they could request for a COS.
  10. Got my DL today. My queue date was July 26. I felt exactly like you during my long wait. Just made myself busy and checked my email every two hours or so. It's also a good idea to call and to ask whether you already have an assessor or not.
  11. Update: July 26 queue date, still no decision letter. Already heard from some whose queue date is July 29 and they already got theirs. I don't want to be jealous or anything but if only the NMC knows the lengths we went through just to process the needed requirements as early as possible and to realize later on, that it would not matter if you complied with them earlier or not. ?
  12. I think that case is highly unlikely though. In fact, I never know of anyone who did not pass the OSCE in the first take. 3 attempts is very generous for the NMC. And of course, we should not allow that to happen. Just think positively and do your part. Prepare well and I know your trust or employer also have brilliant preparation support.
  13. Yes, you need to call or send them an email. Sometimes, the queue date is different from when the last document was uploaded into your portal. Same queue date, no DL yet. However, I called yesterday and the operator said I already have an assessor and he gave me her name. E-mailed my assessor and she told me that my application is ready for assessment and gave me a time frame of two weeks for her to finish the assessment. Sigh
  14. Did you call today only? It's probably because the NMC has no office today because of their bank holiday.
  15. When is your queue date? I don't have an idea which is best for single parents in the UK but based on my research, Derby and Sunderland have low cost of living.
