NMC Decision Letter 2016

Published

Hi! Anyone here who knows how long it takes for the NMC to release a decision letter on your application, as I am anxiously waiting for mine for a little over a month now.

thanks!

The job title my referee input on the form is " Training Officer". My referee is a Registered Nurse by profession, primarily he is the overall training officer for our nursing department and is the one in-charge for our skills up training and learning and development. I email my assessor right away after receiving the feedback. Luckily, the assessor replied this afternoon and asked for a letter written in official paper from my referee certifying that he is a nurse practitioner and had supervised me. I am now waiting for the assessor's response after I sent through email the letter and the blank employee reference form. I haven't re-submitted my application after my NMC portal got re-opened.

What date did you enter the queue @addenurse27?

Hello,

That's great news! I'm not on the queue yet. My other docs have not been uploaded. NMC just received them last August 14. Maybe, I'll just wait for their feedback once they are done with my assessment and go forward from there. Now I know that they might not accept the job title of my referee though. So, I guess I might need to do the same thing as you did when the time comes that they ask me to re submit a reference form. Thank you so much.

Let's just wait for the feedback and hope that all will go well with your docs. :) I guess, the feedback and the pace of the application process will really depend on the assessor. I'll keep you posted on whatever progress I have with my application.

@JJ1005 How did you know who your assessor is? I've been sending emails to NMC asking who is the one handling my application so I can contact them directly but they are not telling me. They just keep on telling me to wait maximum 70 days. I don't even know which person I can directly follow up.

Hi @ghing0293, BSN, RN!

I received an email from NMC notifying me to check the assessment feedback on my NMC account. From the "My NMC" drop down option I clicked "My application" and there I saw the assessment of NMC and recommendation regarding my application, it was indicated as to who I will contact in case I have queries about their feedback.

Have you received an email coming from NMC Overseas? By the way, where are you based? That's the initial email I got before I checked the NMC Portal. May I ask your timeline? Thanks

Wow. Really? That long. I'm also for Addenbrooke's but from a different agency. I have no DL yet and COS. What did your employer/agency tell you?

Certificates of sponsorship are given once a month on the 11th. The employer must then send your application to the home office department that awards the COS's by the 5th of the month to be assessed on the 11th. Better follow up on your employer.
